Welcome to the Portuguese countryside. In our cozy caravan, you'll find everything you need to arrive and relax. Take your time for landing, find tranquility and let nature do its thing. Enjoy the view of the Serra da Estrela from your bed, admire the sunset behind the mountains, and watch the sunrise on the other side of the caravan as the first rays of sunlight stream through the window. If you are looking in the internet for Wald & Wesen, you will find us:) The space A comfortable large bed and a sitting area with a table, chairs, and a sofa make up your cozy refuge. We live very offgrid which is why we tend to be as sustainable as possible. All electricity comes from our solar system, all water comes from our well - we try to live as fossil free as possible. The caravan doesn't have its own bathroom or kitchen, they are shared spaces on the land. Usually we are having a special dinner once per week. It is donation-based and we would love to invite you to it. The donations are being used to plant trees on the land. Also we like to watch movies in our little outdoor cinema, feel free to join. Make yourself at home and feel free to ask and talk to us whenever you feel like. We are always happy to show you around or have a coffee. The caravan comes with bedding and fresh towels as well as drinking water. Guest access Feel free to walk around wherever you like. We only ask you to respect our little nest, nature and all living creatures in it. There might be bugs or spiders, but they were here before us so please let them be. If you want them out of the caravan and can't do it by yourself, please let us know. Otherwise, dive into nature and enjoy! There is a shared kitchen, that we use and that you can use freely too. It has all kinds of utensils and a free shelve in the fridge for your food. We only ask you to clean up after cooking and leave it as you found it. Please ask us if you like a coffee from our coffee machine, we happily prepare one for you. Otherwise we have a french press too that you can always use by yourself. There is a compost toilet a couple of meters from the caravan, that you use as a normal toilet only that instead of a flush you would use the sawdust. Please let us know when it's empty. We do have a warm shower, it's located next to the kitchen. It only has 50l of hot water. Please be reasonable with the use of warm water as it takes a while for new water to heat up. In the caravan you will find a container with drinking water as well as in the kitchen. Feel free to use it and let us know when it's empty. We do have very good cell phone reception on the land. Also there is Wifi that can be used if not extensively. Please ask us for the password. Other things to note We love to share our space with people who share the same values, who enjoy and honour nature as much as we do.
