The space A beautifully renovated Altes Zeughaus with thick historic walls, modern interiors and complete privacy. Just bordering Basel-Landschaft, 25 minutes to Basel. This bright and spacious standalone home, with no direct facing neighbors, along the Lüssel (‘river’ a tributary of the Birs), is designed for comfort, relaxation, and family stays. The top main floor features an open loft living area with high ceilings, wooden parquet floors, exposed beams, an extendable dining table, a wood-burning stove, and a projector with a full-size screen. Floor-to-ceiling windows open to a balcony with scenic mountain views and the calming sound of the Lüssel (river), surrounded by greenery. There is an old stone cross in the garden, part of the historical character of my property. The large living room with a fireplace is with an open fully equipped kitchen includes an ice and water dispenser, Thermomix, air fryer, coffee machine, spices, cookware, 3 raclette machines, and plenty of dishes for families or groups. Bedrooms are located on the 1st floor, accessible by stairs or the private in-house elevator: – Master bedroom with a 180×200 king bed and large mirrored wardrobe – Guest bedroom with a 160×200 queen bed – Kids’ bedroom with two 90×200 bunk beds, toys, play area, books, storage, and baby essentials There is one full bathroom with bathtub, shower, toilet and sink, plus an additional guest toilet upstairs. The home features smart TVs in every room, fast WiFi, Google & Siri controlled led lightings and color changing lights in most areas, and two Xiaomi robot vacuums (one per level). Easy to change the lightings for conveniences from party like to relaxing ambiance and chose the scenes adequately. A large indoor playpen, children’s games, and baby equipment are also available upstairs and can be stored aside if not needed. Outside, you’ll find a very large private garden seating area by the Lüssel (river), parking space for up to three cars in front of the house, parasols, wooden benches, hammock, kid table, and seasonal accessories that can be added if weather allows. The property has a stunning elevator. The basement has 4 different rooms (only specific ones can be shared for usage and others accessible for Electrical components, Heating components and Elevator service components mainly). Approx. 200 m² of private tenant-access space across the house full residential floors plus basement storage. Please note: Some wardrobes and parts of the house (few basement rooms and separate office Ground Floor) will be inaccessible. I also live here as my primary residence when I come back although I do not stay often, in the separate business area near the entrance. My buro/flat is door locked 55m² area on the ground floor. -All wardrobes and storage on upper levels except one, are available for guests with plenty of room to store your personal items. - I have had 3 kids under 4 years old and we kept the house in excellent conditions (never had a single mark on the wall neither extra wear and tear), should you be with your children you are fully responsible for the conditions of the house and any damages have to be fixed. I expect return of my property on the same conditions as when booked.(!) - The property has a historic Zeughaus entrance door with a large custom-made heavy key. This key is unique and cannot be duplicated. If the key is lost, the entire door locking system must be replaced, which is very costly. Guests will be held financially responsible for the full replacement cost if this unfortunately occurs. Please handle the key with great care at all times and never leave it unattended outside. - Using the EV charging stations is billed as per consumption. - The house is clean and well maintained. I expect guests to respect the space. No stains, marks, drawings or damage on walls or furniture . – The home has original wooden staircases; young children must be supervised at all times. – Lüsser stream (River) is nearby and can be heard when windows are open. When windows are closed, the home is very silent. – Xiaomi Robot vacuum cleaners (one per floor) can be used, but all items must be removed from the floor before starting it (no toys, clothes, paper, towels, etc.). Follow manual instructions to understand how it operates. – Most lights can be controlled via Google Home; others use normal switches. – Outdoor items like cushions (not waterproof !), parasols, hammock and trampoline must be put back indoors when not in use and especially during winter or bad weather. – Parking for up to 3 cars is available outside; one is used by my car ( long term parked on site). – Trash collection is weekly (Monday before 7:00 AM). Trash should be stored in the outside green bin until pickup day then placed on the corner of the street near the « bridge » and always in the get dedicated trash bags. Food waste can be disposed in the compost area in the garden. – Please use care with the kitchen, especially the ceramic cooking field — no scratches, use only proper utensils and clean after and before every use. - Our Gardener can be booked on a monthly basis (can include this in the contract for a fee) . All essentials tools are in the basement. - Our Recommended weekly Cleaning can be arranged to keep the place tidy and have peace of mind (can include this with a fee). I am very keen on having guests who care for where they live and have a sense for keeping this in order and good shape.
