The space Manor Farm House – A Cosy, Historic Country Home for Any Kind of Escape Manor Farm House is a place where people instantly feel at ease. Guests often say that the moment they step inside, their shoulders drop and their worries lift. Although the house is generous in size, it is wonderfully rambling and human in scale, so it feels just as welcoming for one couple as it does for a family or a group of friends. Dating back to the 15th century, with a later mock Georgian extension, the house has been thoughtfully renovated to offer modern comfort while preserving its old-world charm. Antiques, old paintings and family portraits sit comfortably alongside contemporary touches, giving the sense of a home that has been loved and lived in for centuries. There are five characterful double bedrooms, including two romantic four-poster rooms. Three bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, while two share a pretty shower room, making the layout flexible and easy for different group sizes. One of the bedrooms reveals the very fabric of the house itself, with the original wattle and daub displayed behind glass panels and gently sloping floors that quietly tell the story of its age. The house offers an unusual wealth of inviting living spaces. An elegant Georgian drawing room looks out across open fields, while a large but cosy TV room opens through French doors onto the garden. A snug morning room is perfect for quieter moments, and the panelled dining room, lined with old family portraits, sets the tone for long, unhurried meals. The library features a grand inglenook fireplace and a small hidden bar tucked discreetly away. At the heart of Manor Farmhouse is the newly refurbished kitchen, finished in deep navy and designed for effortless living. With two ovens, two dishwashers, large fridges, a wine fridge and a central island seating six, it opens onto a sun-catching terrace with a dining table for ten, a stone BBQ and outdoor fireplace a lovely spot for summer evenings and sunset suppers. Manor Farm is wonderfully old fashioned in some way and favours a slower, more traditional approach to bath time! The water reheats at a slower rate than a modern house between uses, so we recommend spacing baths slightly, ensuring each soak is hot and relaxing. Gardens wrap around the house on all sides, with mature trees, flower beds and wide views across surrounding pastureland. From the garden gate, guests can step straight onto bridleways and footpaths across an 800-acre estate. A separate cottage with double bedroom and ensuite bathroom and also a separate shower room .The games room offers pool, darts and board games, while nearby a covered hot tub sits beneath a small barn, perfectly placed for peaceful soaks with views across the fields. With ample parking, covered spaces, a large laundry room and thoughtful comforts throughout, Manor Farmhouse is not a house that demands to be full it is simply a warm, welcoming home that adapts beautifully to whoever arrives.
