Traditional Fisherman's Cottage
This superb holiday cottage in the conservation Seatown area of Gardenstown was originally a fisherman's cottage, built in the 19th century and is directly on the Moray Firth seafront. The cottage is ideal for a family of four, or a couple looking for an away from it all break. It is not ideally suited for two couples. Lie in bed listening to the sound of the waves lapping at the sea wall directly below you. The property was modernised a few years ago and features; a lounge with three sea view windows; large eating kitchen; bathroom with bath and shower over and upstairs one double bedroom and a twin bedroom. Features include a wood burning stove; Wi-Fi; quality cotton bedding; 40" flat screen wall mounted smart television, normally with Netflix available; bose bluetooth music unit and of course stunning sea views. Look out for the school of dolphins in the Moray Firth, which if you are fortunate could be viewed from inside the cottage. The kitchen has a dining table for four; washing machine; fridge/freezer; oven and hob etc. Situated at the bottom of sandstone cliffs, Gardenstown was founded in 1744 and the harbour now caters for small fishing vessels and pleasure boats. The small winding streets, picturesque harbour and old stone fisherman's cottages seem untouched by time and the spectacular views, headland and bays round the village make a haven for artists, photographers and bird watchers, while the sandy beaches and rocky coves and pools make it a location for all ages. Bookings are weekly on a Saturday to Saturday basis with minimum four night stays within a Saturday to Saturday basis in off season - contact us for availability with your dates.
