Hólaskjól Cabin 2 / Eldgjá Highland Center.

Hólaskjól is located in the Highland of Iceland. If you arrive from the south, the last 30 km are on a F road, but with no river crossings. If you arrive from the north you have river crossing and need a 4x4 jeep. It is a peaceful and quiet place with beautiful surroundings. There is just a five minute walk up the lavafield to a beautifull waterfall. There are excellent hiking trails in the area. Eldgjá is 7 Km away, Landmannalaugar is 40 km away and so is Langisjór as well. The space There is a kitchen and a private WC in the cabin, the shower is located in a separate hut out on the campsite. Only cold water runs in the tap. It is possible to get up to 2 extra mattresses to have on the floor if needed.
