You’ll love the stylish decor of our one bedroom, self-contained retreat, the pool and garden outlook and great location one minute walk from the Sandgate foreshore. We suggest you only choose to stay with us if you like big dogs as we have 2 who will come to your doorstep to say hello! We’re a 5 minute walk from Sandgate Village and everything it has to offer including great coffee, restaurants, train & bus station, supermarkets and funky bars. A great place to stay! The space Our retreat is a lovely one bedroom self-contained unit adjacent to our house (Queenslander) and accessible via our garage. It features a separate bedroom with Japanese-style sliding doors for additional privacy and bathroom with shower, open plan lounge area and kitchen with full size fridge, stovetop, oven, kettle, capsule coffee machine, toaster and microwave. We have books, cards, puzzles and games for you to enjoy when you would like to relax. The retreat overlooks our pool and pool yard which you’re welcome to use (6am to 9pm) including BBQ, outdoor dining area and daybed. You’re welcome to use our laundry in our garage and washing line. We have 2 dogs who do occasionally like a swim so if that is something that worries you - let us know before you book with us. Guest access Self-contained unit, pool, pool area, BBQ, outdoor dining table and daybed. You’re welcome to use our laundry and clothes line if required. We have Apple TV, Netflix, Paramount+, etc however you will need your own account to stream the service. Free to air TV is available. Other things to note We have Apple TV, Netflix, and Paramount+ however you will need to log in with your own account to stream those apps. We provide a capsule coffee machine with capsules, various tea, hot chocolate, full cream milk, soy and almond milk plus bottled and tap water for your convenience. Our retreat and location is perfect for a relaxing staycation, work trip, or joining in on local adventures. Our fully self-contained ground floor unit with private fenced yard as well as the fully fenced in-ground pool yard is available for you. The retreat has a small step at the front entry, security door and secure screens on all windows. There’s plenty to see in Sandgate or you can just float around in our beautiful pool on a giant swan or flamingo 🦩 🦢 Sandgate offers eateries like the Full Moon Hotel - just a 10 minute stroll away along the beautiful Sandgate foreshore- no need to drive! Local cafes such as Baaia Café, The Bay Cafe or the Coffee Cart at the Pier (if you’re going for a morning stroll) are perfect for breakfast or a relaxing coffee. Enjoy fish and chips at Sandgate Fishmongers or Doug's Seafood along the waterfront (1 minute walk from our retreat). If you choose to BBQ at our retreat or one of the many public BBQs along the foreshore you can buy fresh seafood from the trawlers along the river in Shorncliffe 🦐🐟 We have camping chairs and an esky on hand if you’d like to borrow them for an outing or lovely picnic along the Sandgate foreshore. We have 2 dogs who like to say hello. They also talk to the lorikeets in the mornings. Our dogs do rest in the garage during the day and at times lay in our backyard where the front door to the retreat is. They cannot enter the pool yard that the unit overlooks. On hot days they do like a swim in our pool.
