Guest access Guests can use the entire property with the exception of the following areas: - The detached garage - The cleaner's annex / boiler room - The small outbuilding in the garden (affectionately known as 'Mini-Mara') Other things to note Accessibility and layout: Tamara is a 1960s period property with open spaces, split-level floors, a balcony and uneven terrain in the garden. The property is set in a naturally hilly area. The layout, grounds and location may not be suitable for guests with certain accessibility needs or for young children under 6. Please consider this when deciding whether Tamara is suitable for your stay. Garden and grounds: Occupying a prominent corner plot, the house is surrounded by a large and undulating landscaped garden. The grounds are not fully enclosed from the road. There is a rarely used public footpath that cuts across the far end of the garden. Please be careful when exploring the grounds; there are some sloping or uneven paths without handrails. Garden maintenance: The garden is an important part of the appeal of Tamara and is maintained regularly to keep it looking its best. The gardener typically visits every two weeks during the summer and more occasionally between September and April. Visits are usually between 8am and 4pm, and the gardener will normally park his van on the driveway while working. Visits may occasionally be arranged at short notice, so advance warning cannot always be guaranteed. We hope that routine garden maintenance will cause minimal disturbance, and your understanding is much appreciated. If you have any particular concerns about a gardening visit during your stay, we will do our best to work around your needs, although the gardeners schedule may limit our flexibility. Waste collection: Wheelie bin collections take place early on Friday mornings, so the appropriate bin needs to be placed at the end of the driveway on Thursday evening. Putting the bins out and bringing them back in is normally part of the housekeeper’s responsibilities, so guests are not expected to do this. However, if you are willing and able to put the relevant bin out on Thursday evening, your help would be much appreciated. Further information about the collection timetable for the different bins can be found in the guest manual inside the property.
