Home to authentic Hebridean hospitality, delicious food, good craic & award winning customer service. Our home has wonderful panoramic views of the beach, Iona, the Sound of Iona and the Abbey itself as well as across to Burg and the island's only 'Munro' - Ben More. The space Seaview, home to authentic Scottish island hospitality, delicious food, good craic and award winning customer service. It is also home to John Noddings, a retired lobster fisherman who has been offering traditional Hebridean hospitality to guests since 1990 with his lovely English wife Jane. On offer is a cozy, comfortable guest bedroom with an amazing award winning breakfast included in the price of your stay. Overlooking the village beach, the stunning ancient isle of Iona and her iconic Abbey, plus views to Ben More (Munro) and Burg. Your bedroom does indeed have a sea view. It is centrally heated with double glazing and has a solid oak king size double bed with an extra deep comfortable sprung mattress, with 100% cotton bedding and a super king size wool-filled double duvet for added warmth and comfort along with bedside cabinets, reading lamps, wardrobe and drawers. The ensuite shower room with wash basin and toilet is modern contemporary in style with plenty of hot water and Scottish Fine Soap toiletries. Your room is also provided with TV/DVD player, a well stocked hospitality tray with organic biscuits, filter coffee machine, hair dryer, alarm clock and free complimentary use of Wi-Fi broadband. Guest access You are welcome to come and go as you please during your stay. You have access to your room at all times, plus there is small sitting room and the breakfast room you are welcome to use, where you will find a small library of local books of the area, maps, walks. A laundry service, and packed lunches are also available as well as free off-road private parking and free Wi-Fi. During your stay We want you to feel welcome and relaxed when you stay and so we are usually always on hand to help you plan your time whilst here, making reservations for trips, restaurants as well as advising on things to do and where to go. We are friendly without being intrusive and there is a lovely cosy sitting room you are welcome to use which includes plenty of local books to browse through. John enjoys a wee blether or two and loves to engage with guests. You won't have access to the kitchen (although we are happy to store food items in the fridge or freezer for you if we have space). The back garden, office, laundry room, and our family quarters are also private and unavailable for guest use. Evening meals are available in the village pub next door (The Keel Row), or if you enjoy freshly caught local seafood, The Creel at the top of the pier during the main season (April-Sept). We can provide packed lunches and there is a lovely wee café and farm shop called The Lazy Cow about a mile walk from Seaview serving delicious freshly cooked food. Other things to note We have been looking after visitors to our island since 1990. We are members of Scotland's Best B&Bs and are graded 4 star with the AA. We are licensed by Argyll & Bute Council to operate as a B&B which means we comply with all relevant fire regulations and have public indemnity insurance. These additional costs are reflected in our price. Our Short Term Letting licence number is AR02094F. We live next door to the local pub and restaurant The Keel Row where evening meals and lunches are available and The Ferry Shop and Post Office. We can provide packed lunches if required. If you have any dietary requirements please let us know - we can usually cater for most people including vegans and veggies. We make a conscious effort to be as environmentally friendly and responsible as we can and have actively implemented ethically 'green' practices into our business. We hope guests will support our efforts. We also have one lovely friendly Labrador dog called Teddy who joined us in October 2021 - Teddy is a female chocolate who loves people and forms our official 'Meet & Greet' team.
