Beautiful, traditional farmhouse

Traditional farmhouse for 4-6 guests set in stunning countryside just a few miles from Bude. Relax in this beautiful home with a well equipped kitchen and gorgeous views from the conservatory and garden. Enjoy long walks at nearby beaches and forests then return to enjoy the cosy home and read, play board games and enjoy the hot tub. Please note that from November to the end of February, there is a £50 additional fee for use of the hot tub. Please mention when booking. The space The Farmhouse has been recently refurbished to bring together the old world feel of a beautiful, traditional cottage with modern conveniences. The entrance is through a newly built porch which is ideal for storing kids bikes, buggies or boots. The kitchen has plenty of food storage and contains enough equipment to cook a full meal or simply reheat a takeaway or ready meal depending on your mood. The dining room easily seats six and is a lovely space for coming together to enjoy a meal or board game. Through the kitchen is the sitting room. This large space is in the centre of the house and remains cool in the summer or warm in the winter due to the thick walls and central heating. There is plenty of reading material, some board games, a large smart TV and a DVD player with lots of choices for viewing for cosy evenings. Through the sitting room is a large conservatory allowing you to soak in the sun and views even on a slightly cooler day or simply to watch the weather roll in from the sea further down the valley. From this side of the house, there are uninterrupted views of the hills and plenty of wildlife to observe including a nesting pair of barn owls which sometimes look for their dinner from a perch on a nearby fence post, buzzards and the occasional sea eagle. The garden can be accessed through the conservatory and the large patio lends itself to long summer evenings sitting outside or yoga with a view. There is a BBQ for you to use and patio furniture as well. To the right is a secluded hot tub and summer house to put towels in or simply chat to your friends and family still in the tub. The cottage is situated in a dark sky place meaning there is no light pollution and the automatic outdoor lights allow for safety whilst allowing for some wonderful stargazing. Upstairs there are three bedrooms. The largest has a super king size bed, wardrobe and drawers with plenty of room to store belongings. The other two bedrooms face the back of the house and both have low deep windows allowing for stargazing from the comfort of your room. The second bedroom has two single beds and the third has a double and also an ensuite bathroom complete with shower. Please note that the hot tub in The Farmhouse is large so takes a while to fill and heat. We thoroughly clean and sanitise it between guests so in the warmer months it is likely to be up to full temperature the morning after your arrival.
