Forest Privacy Lodge – 2 red cabins, sauna, lakes
Description
This is the Sweden you’ve dreamed of. Two red cottages in a private forest clearing, a wood-fired sauna and seven lakes within walking distance – all yours, with no neighbours in sight. Wake to birdsong, swim in the lakes, explore forest trails and gather around the fire. Two separate sleeping cabins offer space for family or friends – together, yet with room to breathe. A true Swedish escape, magical in every season. Family- and dog-friendly. The space The whole property is always rented to one group at a time – no other guests or hosts are ever on site during your stay. Forest Privacy Lodge is two cabins and a private sauna house in a glade of your own – and that's exactly what makes it special. Parents and children can each have their own cabin, or two families can holiday together with room to spread out. THE MAIN CABIN (45 m²) Fully equipped kitchen and a fully renovated bathroom with hot shower and WC. In the living room, soft pure-wool gabbeh rugs lie underfoot, the wood stove crackles, and the large panoramic window looks straight into the forest – pick up the book you've been meaning to sink into and settle under a wool blanket. Sleep deeply in the spacious DUX double bed (200×210 cm), the maker's former flagship, often called the ”Rolls-Royce of beds”. There's also a sofa bed for two and a pull-out bed for one more guest. New air-conditioning/heat pump keeps it comfortable all year, and the large deck is perfect for morning coffee. THE GUEST CABIN (15 m²) A light, cosy sleeping cabin with two single beds (90×200 cm) and a small sofa bed for one or two more guests, best suited for children. It too has new air-conditioning/heat pump. The bathroom is in the main cabin, a few steps across the yard. PRIVATE WOOD-FIRED SAUNA WITH OUTDOOR SHOWER Fire up the sauna and enjoy the view straight into the forest – our guests' absolute favourite. Firewood included. Rinse off under the open sky. Room for 5 guests – up to 7 for an extra fee. Fully renovated throughout: new wiring, ventilation, water system, AC and sauna – plus a new stove and fridge/freezer in the kitchen. Guest access The entire plot and all three buildings are yours for the stay – complete seclusion, with no neighbours or onlookers. Outside you'll find an open fire pit and grill area where you can cook over the flames, a kettle grill, garden furniture, sun loungers, a hammock and outdoor dining. On the large deck there's a movable basketball hoop and free weights for the active, and the lawn is perfect for badminton and boule. Inside: a TV with Netflix and a movable projector, plus books and board games for cosy evenings. Practical: free parking for 2 cars on the plot, washing machine, wifi, mosquito nets and everything you need to self-cater. Check-in is independent via a locked key box – arrive whenever suits you. All contact runs smoothly through the Airbnb chat – we reply quickly and are available throughout your stay, without disturbing your peace. Pets are welcome for a fee of SEK 800 per stay. Other things to note Forest Privacy Lodge is surrounded by seven lakes. The nearest is 800–1,000 metres away, the furthest about 1.3 km as the crow flies – all reached along beautiful forest paths on a gentle 15–20 minute walk. Thanks to the closeness of the trees, birdlife is abundant and the mornings are filled with birdsong. About the same time by car opens up the whole area: the Blekinge archipelago, hiking trails, paddling waters and great fishing spots – including the Ronneby River and the lakes Galtsjön and Skärsjön (fishing permits are easily bought via iFiske). A favourite with children is the bathing spot at lake Skörjesjön, about 15 minutes away – perfect for a full day of swimming and picnicking. Supermarkets (Lidl, Stora Coop, ICA Maxi) and restaurants are the same distance away. Or you can simply stay in the glade and rest in complete stillness. It's just as lovely all year round: cool indoors on warm summer days, warm and snug by the wood stove in winter – and the sauna is at its very best on a crisp winter's day with snow on the spruces. In winter there are also cross-country ski tracks at Karlsnäsgården. Good to know: a small step leads up to the entrance. The water comes from our own well and is tested and approved as drinking water (January 2026) – please use it sparingly so it lasts throughout your stay; for infants we recommend bottled water. The fireplaces (wood stove, sauna, grill and fire pit) are used at your own responsibility – always put embers out completely, and check current fire bans with Länsstyrelsen Blekinge during dry periods. No smoking indoors.
