Fall asleep in silence and in the moonlight, wake up with birdsong. You can enjoy nature in your own yard, you can explore the surroundings on foot or by bike along marked trails, or you can enjoy the nearby thermal baths. The space The entrance is from the terrace into the foyer from where you can get to all the other spaces: - living area with dining area and kitchen and trundle bed - bathroom with shower, toilet and bidet - Half bathroom - Bedroom with double bed For bike storage, there is a locked space in the basement of the facility, accessible from the parking lot. There is an outlet in the basement so you can charge your electric bikes. Breakfast and dinner: By prior arrangement (at the guesthouse), breakfast is available at the nearby Gostišče Aleksander. The price is €10 per person. The Aleksander Inn opens at 4:00 p.m. every day, except Mondays, and offers authentic homemade food à la carte. The guest house is only 100 meters further down the road. Guest access Parking for 2 vehicles is available on the south side of the building. The entrance to the building is accessed by stairs via a porch and a terrace. A public charging station for electric vehicles is 150 m away (11 kW, for a fee). Due to technical limitations, charging electric vehicles at the accommodation is not possible. Other things to note The translation from Prekmurje is House on the Hill. The word hill is not used locally, instead the word bank is used, which is like a hill, or dialectically a bank. For the inhabitants of Spodnje Moravče (the lowland part of present-day Moravske Toplice), the first hill in the hinterland of the village was mainly used for vineyards. The more flat areas near the farms were used as agricultural land. The first mention of the house dates back to 1864 and is already marked on the first maps. The original purpose of the building was a vineyard, where workers lived with their families and took care of these vineyards. The vineyards and buildings were owned by wealthier farmers from the lower part of the village. The house is equipped with restored stylish furniture of the time and many pieces exceed the venerable age of 100 years. We've tried our best to take you on a journey into the past, to take time for yourself and your loved ones, and maybe even to reflect on the values of the past that are increasingly disappearing in this fast-paced world. Please use the house and furniture carefully and with care so that we can pass it on to our grandchildren and great-grandchildren over the next 100 years in the same condition as our ancestors handed it down to us. The vacation home is located in the town of Moravske Toplice, in an area called Zgornji Moravci, in a quiet spot surrounded by vineyards and fields. There are a few houses nearby, and not all of them are permanently occupied. The road only leads to these cottages and to the Aleksander Inn, a little further on. The inn also serves dinner for outside guests, and if you're very hungry, we highly recommend a visit. The location itself is very suitable for walks; there are quite a few circular trails, both short and long, and you can also tackle a few climbs. We especially recommend this place for cyclists, whether they ride road, trekking, or mountain bikes. There is a locked space in the old basement for all your bicycles. If you have electric ones, you can also charge them. There are also some tools available for quick repairs. Your cycling route starts on roads with little traffic. You can follow officially marked trails or create your own using your app. Our suggestion, of course, is to drive out into nature, look around you, and listen to the peace. Avoid major roads, as the numbers on the app won't record that for you. For all swimming enthusiasts, the lower part of Moravske Toplice, known as Spodnji Moravci, is home to the swimming pools of Terme 3000 and Hotel Vivat, which also offer saunas and wellness areas. There's also a golf course there, and there's a fitness trail in the park. Down there, you'll find a store, a few restaurants, and a pizzeria. For larger shopping trips, the regional center of Murska Sobota, located 8 km (5 miles) away, offers modern shopping malls. For those who prefer more traditional food and beverages, we recommend heading in a different direction, to Goričko. We recommend two nearby options in Zgornji Moravci: Okrepčevalnica pri Goranu and Zeleni gaj. Please check the business hours before you leave.
