Seaside Chalet Towan Beach near Portscatho

Towan Beach Chalet, set amongst lawns and trees, is hidden away, near the beach, in a corner of one of Cornwall’s most unspoiled and beautiful areas, the Roseland Peninsula. It has its sunset dining verandah, a sheltered south facing dining patio, triple-aspect living/dining room, well-equipped kitchen, garden views and two bathrooms (one en-suite). In season there is a Weber charcoal barbecue unit which is situated beside the front patio. You need only bring your own bed linen and towels. The space This family oriented property has 2 main bedrooms, the master double bedroom with en suite and the second bedroom has a bunk bed. Two extra guests can be accommodated in a double pulldown bed in the living/dining room. There is also a bathroom with bath. Outside there is a special summerhouse we call the Story House which is a quiet retreat with libraries for young and old as well as being creative space for children. The property has a sunny south facing patio with table and seating and also a roofed verandah leading off the living room with a small table and seating. The chalet is one of 5 private chalets set up a byway track hidden behind the coast. The garden leads up to the track which is an 8 minute walk down to the beach where there is also the Thirstea Teahouse. The garden also leads down through woodland to the pretty Froe Creek which in turn leads on to the creek track which ends up at the seasonal ferry over to St Mawes or on round to the stunning St Anthony's Head opposite Falmouth. Guest access The site space and access details will be sent out to you when the balance for your stay is paid. Due to this property's remote location, it is approached by a track of about 350 metres. We have an ordinary family Car and have no problems, but if you do have a low slung vehicle with very little ground clearance then Towan Beach chalet is probably not for you. Car parking is provided at the top of this track. The garden is not fenced in so guests who have dogs must keep them under close control obviously cleaning up after them. Other things to note You will need bring your own bed linen and towels. The chalet is rented on a self clean basis and whilst we do regular deep cleans, maintenance and gardening it is vital to leave the chalet in tip-top condition for the next guest. The chalet is very simple to clean. Our gardener usually comes on a Wednesday. He also mows the lawns of the other chalets.
