Unobstructed view - Cabin

Our old 2-storey barn was used as a chicken coop and workshop until the 2000s. After renting out a vacation apartment, the Blickinsfreie Loft, in our old factory since 2018, I decided to turn the barn into an individual but above all minimalist accommodation that you don't come across every day - Glamping at its best! The ARD was recently a guest for a #room tour - feel free to check in at the ARD! The space THE UNOBSTRUCTED CABIN On the ground floor of the cabin is the everyday living area with kitchenette, dining and sink as well as a rustic living area with fireplace, which can also be separated from the front part of the barn by the heat protection curtain. There is also an old but mostly out of tune piano ready to play. The powerful wood-burning stove makes the living area of the cabin on cool days. The sleeping floor, which is located directly above the stove, is also indirectly heated. Of course, I will provide wood. Attention: The operating instructions for the oven are available on site and must be read for safe use! Of course, you will also receive a short briefing from me. The kitchen area has a professional 2-burner gas stove, small refrigerator, kettle and simple dishes & cooking equipment. This of course includes oil, salt and pepper, but also some herbal teas from our garden. If you've always wanted to wash your dishes the old-fashioned way, you'll love our old sink with 2 Enamel bowls are a great value. Hot water is available via the outdoor shower, so you can wash up like 100 years ago. The rustic sleeping floor extends over half of the barn floor and consists of a 4-meter wide sleeping area. The beds are made up with sheets and freshly made pillows, as well as a wool blanket. Attention: For the sleeping floor, as described in the listing, you need sleeping bags or your own duvets. In summer, summer sleeping bags are sufficient, in winter you need proper sleeping bags, as the sleeping floor is only indirectly heated by the stove. A special highlight is our outdoor hot water shower, which invites you to enjoy a shower in the open air behind the cabin. A sustainable compost toilet is available, which works with sawdust. Drinking water is available at the outdoor shower as well as at the large sink next to the terrace. The terrace as well as the large garden invite you to socialize. Guest access IMPORTANT NOTES WHEN BOOKING IN WINTER (November - May) Thanks to the powerful fireplace, which was installed in the barn in 2019, I can also rent our cabin to adventure enthusiasts in winter. Nevertheless, I would like to briefly discuss the special features of use between November and May. The barn is not insulated and therefore has 2 thermal insulation curtains: once at the entrance area and once to separate the living area around the stove. The front part The barn, in which the kitchenette is located, is only indirectly heated. Of course, the barn also heats up completely through the oven, but the kitchen area / entrance area as well as the sleeping floor only average warm. The living area with couch, table, armchairs and piano is also cozy and warm at -10 degrees, but the stove must be stoked all day. Continuous heating of the stove in winter is therefore a must. Coal is always available for the nights, so that even through the night, the fire never goes out. In winter, I provide 2 warm Bulgarian sheep wool blankets per bed, which also keep guests warm overnight on the highest hut in the Balkans (Ivan Vazov 2300m above sea level). Nevertheless, proper winter sleeping bags are a must, otherwise you may freeze at night. The modern shared bathroom including shower and toilet is located on the ground floor of the main house from November to May and is about 20 meters away. The used dishes can also be rinsed directly in the shared bathroom in winter if necessary. Other things to note ADDITIONAL SERVICES: WELLNESS I CAMPFIRE I GRILL RENTAL (advance reservation required!) 1) WELLNESS Depending on availability, we offer the following wellness offers. If these are the basis of your booking, please ask me if they are available in your period. Bath towels are on site. Please bring bathing slippers/bathing shoes. HOT TUB: Book a bath for you and your friends under the stars in our Kirami hot tub for up to 6 people. I will gladly provide the costs per 3-hour usage time window on request. SAUNA: For those who like to use a sauna, we have a Scandinavian outdoor sauna for max. 8 people including cold water shower. I will gladly provide the costs per 3-hour usage time window on request. 2) CAMPFIRE If you want to make a campfire, you are welcome to do so. Wood can be bought from me by the wheelbarrow for 15 euros each. Please note, campfire is only possible up to forest fire level 3 and no wind. 3) BARBECUE We rent a large charcoal grill for a small usage fee of 5 euros/day. A reservation is necessary, otherwise the grill may be assigned elsewhere. CITY TAXES The city of Schöneck charges a tourist tax and has completely digitized the billing process, so that the accommodations are no longer allowed to accept the tourist tax directly from the guest. WELCMpass was introduced to make it easier for guests to check in. Payment and guest bonus use work conveniently digitally via smartphone. The tourist tax is 2.00 euros per adult & stay day and for children/adolescents aged 6-18 each 1.00 euros per day of stay. Arrival and departure days count as one day according to the spa tax regulations of the city of Schöneck. I will send the link for convenient registration and payment together with the booking confirmation. Registration and payment of the tourist tax must be made no later than arrival and proven to us.
