Cabin in Nord-Aurdal

Welcome to Eventyrhytta, a beautiful and authentic log cabin with a completely unique and undisturbed location in Tisleidalen in Valdres. Here you live in the middle of nature, with beautiful views of Ølsjøen, private swimming area only a few meters from the cabin and free use of rowboat and canoe. The cabin combines the unique log cabin feeling with modern comfort: heating cables in the bathroom, well-equipped kitchen, internet, TV with casting and bedroom with two double Jensen beds, as well as a loft for the children. You can bring your dog! The space Idyllic pearl with a cozy location about 800 meters above sea level at Ølsjøen in Tisleidalen, Nord-Aurdal in Valdres, about three hours drive from Oslo. A fenced, completely undisturbed plot with great sun conditions and beautiful views over Ølsjøen and towards Storefjell. Nice swimming area just below the cabin. You can row and fish mountain trout in Ølsjøen, and drive 10 minutes to Valdres golf. At the Adventure Cabin in Valdres you get a quiet and peaceful break from everyday life - all to yourself in a genuine, soulful cabin that is still modernly equipped. Campfire area overlooking Ølsjøen with fire pan, bench and table, and pleasant undisturbed "back garden" with old stable/wood/tool shed. 70 meters to Skinnarplassen; a beautiful swimming area with fire and benches. Rowboat and canoe available free of charge. Your dog is also welcome at the Adventure Cabin. Electricity and firewood are included in the rental price. Cleaning (NOK 980) and extra supplements for pets (NOK 500) are included. Guest access The cabin is basically rented out only for weeks; from Saturday at 3 pm to Saturday at 12 pm, but we are flexible and adapt to your wishes as far as we can. Electricity and firewood are included in the price. Cleaning costs NOK 980.00 Dog(s) are welcome and cost NOK 500 extra for the period. Other things to note On our own website (which you will receive the address to once you have confirmed your rental period) you will find detailed suggestions with pictures for trips, fishing in Ølsjøen and an overview of recommended restaurants nearby. HIKING SUGGESTIONS There are many nice trips in the immediate vicinity of the cabin. The tours are suitable for both children and adults. You can also drive to many other great hiking trails in the area. THE DAM An exciting and not so long trip is to walk the road to the right out of the cabin and down to a dam that appears after a few kilometers on the left hand. It is exciting (for both children and adults) to go out on the dam and look at the waterfall there. The gates to the bridge can be opened so you can cross. HIKING AROUND THE CABIN There is a forest road (Einebuvegen) going up just to the left of the cabin (this is closed in winter). If you walk up it, you will reach the top after about 45-60 minutes (Nysetvegen). You can walk down the same road again, or walk around. The trip around will probably take a few hours, but it is mostly downhill and on a gravel road. ALONG THE RIVER It can be great, fun and a bit demanding (because there is no trail and you have to walk from rock to rock) to walk up the river if there is low water level. Then you can park where you drove in from the asphalt road and walk down to the river on the upper or lower side of the bridge. It is a nice and slightly hilly walk up and down the riverbed. GIANT'S KETTLES / KVITINGEN Spectacular view: Northern Europe's largest giant's kettles! Turn left after the cabin and follow the road to the signposted gravel road to the left towards Kinn (in a turn at the end of the water before the road goes up to the right). After 2.9 km, the road splits at a large turnaround where you keep to the left. Parking at the end of the road about 500 m later. There is a signposted path to the right down the road slope. It is mostly easy to follow (pay attention). If the trail splits, keep to the right downhill along the water. You pass over a rock, where the trail continues straight over and slightly to the left on the other side. Soon you will be standing in front of the giant's kettles (northern Europe's largest). The trip is just under a kilometer long and takes just under half an hour each way. MAKALAUSFJELLET Drive to the left from the cabin and turn left at the sign towards Eidvasstølen. Drive in and park on the left side just before the road ends. Walk the road inwards and continue on the trail to the right of a cabin. Then follow the tractor road upwards. When you arrive at a cabin quite high up in the mountainside, the trail continues steeply up towards the mountain to the left of the cabin. At the top there is a mailbox with a book where you can sign in. The trip takes about 1 hour up and 45 minutes down. SKIING IN WINTER Valdres Alpine Center is located about 20 minutes drive from the cabin. Beitostølen is an hour's drive away. For cross-country enthusiasts, there are great, prepared slopes just a 10-minute drive from the cabin. Take a right out of the cabin and right again at the garbage container. Follow the road (keep to the right at the sign) until you reach a slightly larger parking lot on the left side. Now you also see the antenna hut on the right. Right to the right of the parking lot, the trails go inwards.
