450-SQFT 1BR 1BA "surfer shack" condo in an older building at the Oceanfront. Open concept living area, beautiful kitchen, shower tub & comfortable queen size bed. Sofa converts to sleep an adult or 2 small kids. Assigned parking in front of unit-spaces are difficult for larger vehicles. Close to the beach with great nightly rates! Pacific Shack is housed in the Pacific Place Condominiums. Built in the 1960’s, each section contains 4 units between 2 floors for a total of 52 units. Due to the age and construction of the buildings, you may hear the neighbors. This is an active area of the oceanfront close to restaurants, hotels and bars. Condo is best suited for budget travelers who wants a beach vacation. Our kitchen was recently renovated with granite countertops, spray faucet, garbage disposal, dishwasher, range stove, microwave and refrigerator. There is a water pitcher with a built in filter and ice cube trays in the freezer. Kitchen is stocked with basic cooking tools, utensils, tableware (including for kids), and basic spices. There is a single serve coffee maker that takes k-cups and toaster. The bedroom features a queen size bed with a memory foam mattress, dresser, a locker with towels and linens, iron, ironing board and nightstands with usb/outlet lamps. We leave two beach chairs and one beach umbrella in the bedroom closet for our guests to use as much as they like. Just keep them in good condition and leave any used beach items out in living room behind the sofa to minimize sand tracked around the condo. This saves our cleaners a lot of sweeping time. Amenities like toilet paper, towels, linens, shampoo, conditioner, body soap and hand soap are supplied. Cleaning supplies, trash bags and paper towels are under the kitchen sink. The open concept living room gets a good amount of natural light during sunny days. The small dining table extends to fit four chairs. Cable and COX high speed internet are included in the nightly rates. We wash any used linens and towels but if you need personal laundry done, there is a coin laundry room across the parking lot and a few laundromats close by. We do not recommend the building laundry room until upgrades are done as we’ve ran into dryer issues. One assigned parking spot is reserved directly in front for easy loading and unloading. Please use ONLY this spot as towing is strictly enforced and very popular at the oceanfront. There is a city garage next door if you have additional vehicles. We have monthly pest control that may coincide with a guest stay. The appointment normally takes 10 minutes and we do our best to balance not interrupting a stay but keep our pest control on schedule to maximize effectiveness. Please understand that we are in a coastal area where bugs are a natural part of life. They can get into an indoor space especially after heavy rain. We invest a lot on prevention but we can never guarantee a 100% bug free experience. If you have an issue with this, please know that we will not issue refunds for pest issues. While we do not have staff on site, we strive to respond promptly and often except for normal sleeping hours. In case of emergencies, host and cohosts are locals. A personal lock code with instructions will be sent out 2 nights prior to self check in. Keep noise to a minimum after 10PM per city noise ordinance. Unregistered guests are not allowed overnight. Smoking or vaping inside condo or unauthorized pets would automatically incur an additional $100 cleaning charge per violation.
