The Cabin & Sauna @ The Highlands

Perched in the hills with sweeping views over the stunning Bream Bay coastline, The Cabin & Sauna is the perfect escape. Designed to blend modern comfort with rustic charm, this little hideaway offers a stylish interior and a view that truly takes your breath away. Our unique wood fired Sauna is available. Spend time here really looking after your self in ultimate relaxation, you’ll leave here feeling renewed. We are an 13 minute drive to Waipu Village. Minimum 2 night stay/Max 2 guests. The space Our property sits high on the west side of Waipu, surrounded by 33 acres of native bush and rolling paddocks. You’ll be treated to the sights and sounds of local wildlife, including Tūī, Morepork, Kingfishers, and Kererū. We’re proud to offer one of the most spectacular views of the Bream Bay coastline. Whether you’re here to unplug (no TV) and take in the scenery or explore the area’s beaches, restaurants, caves, and shops, you’ll have plenty to enjoy. We do provide high speed internet for your devices. We are also eco friendly, using simple biodegradable products to protect our water and use minimal chemicals in our cleaning. Please note: Some toiletries cannot be used here - all info will be onsite for you. Guest access Our Private Areas will be clearly signed posted. We are happy to help if you wish to meet the animals. The Sauna which is next to the Cabin is a shared area and we will use it while you are here but will not disturb you or your private sauna times. We will let you know when we are lighting it or you can do this yourself. Other things to note If you want to get out and about we provide information on cycling, walking and coastal tracks in the area. We are a short drive to the Waipu Caves Doc land reserve and the Waipu Caves farm park. This offers walking, running and cycle tracks. The Milky Way Glow Worm Caves are here and daily tours are available. Of course Waipu Cove - Best Beach 2025/2026 is around 25 mins drive from us, along with Langs Beach and Ruakaka Beach. All absolutely beautiful and different from each other. If you want to relax here ……… You can! Sleep, sauna and settle in. We’ll light the sauna for you each day when we are available or you can do it yourself. We have reading material and a view to stare at while you enjoy organic teas, coffee and hot chocolate. Other than that ……… We do have animals here and our dogs should you see them are friendly but enclosed in our area. We are pretty quiet and always keep your peace and quiet in mind but you may see us out and about doing all the things that need doing up here.
