The space Outdoor Bliss​  ~  Enjoy sweeping rural views across forest and mountains from the spacious covered deck with a deep outdoor bath, BBQ, and seating — perfect for sunset drinks or stargazing. Living & Dining​​  ~  Expansive windows showcase the scenery. Curl up on the leather sofa for a movie or stream your favourite shows with fast Wi-Fi. Dine overlooking the neighbouring alpaca farm and tranquil landscape.  ​Kitchenette​​  ~  Stylish and self-contained with stone benchtop, stovetop, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, and coffee pod machine - fully equipped for a comfortable stay.  Bedroom​​  ~. Wake to the beauty of nature through large sliding doors that open onto the deck. A four-poster king bed with plush mattress and premium linens creates a serene, romantic hideaway for two. Ensuite Bathroom​​  ~  Heated floors and a walk-in shower with dual rain and handheld heads. Soft towels on the heated rail and complimentary natural non-toxic toiletries complete the experience. Comfort ~  Set the mood with dimmable lighting, blackout curtains, and efficient heating and cooling.  Privacy & Security ~ For peace of mind, discreet CCTV cameras (one on each side of the cabin facing outwards) monitor ONLY the driveway, parking area and surrounding property grounds. We do not live on site, and the cameras provide security for the property, particularly when the retreat is unoccupied and between guest stays. The cabin's full deck, outdoor bath and all interior areas are never visible on camera, ensuring guests can relax and enjoy these private spaces during their stay. Outdoor Bath ~ is set on the deck with views over the garden grounds, forest and mountains beyond creating a peaceful spot to unwind. There is a quaint old farmhouse on the lower neighbouring property in front, now unoccupied and no longer in use. If you prefer a little extra comfort, you’re welcome to bring bathers — the space is designed for relaxation and enjoying the view. Adults only (max 2 guests) and non-smoking property. HOUSE POLICIES We hope you enjoy a comfortable and relaxing stay. Much of the information below is common sense and second nature to most guests. However, country life comes with a few quirky considerations that are a little different from the city, so we've included some helpful guidelines to ensure your stay is as easy, enjoyable and comfortable as possible: ~ Please leave shoes at the door. One of the joys of country life is sharing the property with abundant wildlife. Our furry neighbours are active overnight and aren't very tidy, often leaving little surprises behind! We find leaving outdoor shoes at the door helps avoid accidentally tracking in dirt, mud and animal droppings. ~ No pets please. ~ No smoking, vaping, candles or open flames. A $400 deep-cleaning fee may apply, along with any associated costs, including cancellation or refund costs for impacted future bookings. ~ Quiet hours are 10 pm – 7 am. No parties or events. Visitors by prior arrangement only. ~ If you're out for the day, please close doors and windows to keep out any unexpected rain (Maydena is notorious for quick changes in weather), and please drain the bath to avoid attracting curious wildlife to the water. ~ Enjoy the local wildlife from a distance — please don't feed them. ~ Our neighbour's alpacas are adorable, but please don't feed them either or enter their property. ~ We understand that accidents can happen, and any damage or loss may incur a charge. ~ If anything isn't working or seems to be missing, please let us know so we can resolve it as quickly as possible. ~ Before checkout, we'd be super grateful if you could leave the retreat clean and tidy, wash and put away any dishes used, clean the BBQ if used (supplies provided), and place any rubbish and leftover food in the bins provided. ~ We truly value feedback, so if you have any suggestions or ideas to improve the retreat, we'd love to hear from you.
