More information about the region can be found here: Sweden The space Secluded, accessible only by a gravel road, this rustic stuga is located on Lake Stölletsjön in the Fänstjärnsskogen Nature Reserve. The nature reserve is considered an insider tip in central Sweden, Värmland and is characterized by endless wilderness with forests and lakes. This rustic and simply furnished hut offers the basis for unforgettable nature experiences and the opportunity to cultivate the very own connection between man and nature. A special kind of nature experience. Here it is important to become one with nature and to live as our ancestors did. The clear water comes from the lake, cooked on the wood stove or on the open fire. There is no electricity, but there is a small solar panel to charge the power bank and devices on sunny days. Battery lamps and candles are the only source of light. The toilet is a simple toilet house with a dry toilet outside the Stuga. An outdoor solar shower can be used for showering and washing. Cabin no. 1 can accommodate 2-3 beds as well as a living, dining and cooking area. In hut no. 2 there are living and sleeping options for 2-3 people. There is enough space in both cabins for an extra cot. Berries, mushrooms and everything that nature gives us can be collected. With a little luck, you will meet one of the local wild animals that abound here in the endless forests. The lake Stölletsjön is a few meters away, where there is a yellow paddle boat, which may be used. Fishing is allowed in the lakes with the appropriate permit (available online). We have built our concept on a basis of trust, i.e. we do not check how you leave the cabin or what it looks like when you arrive. We hope that mindful people will visit our cottage, who, in harmony with nature, treat other people's property as their own and leave the stuga in good condition for those who come after them. You have to bring your own bedsheets, covers, towels, dishtowels and dishcloths. Amenities include: Cabin 1: - Double bed 140 cm and 90 cm - A sofa bed Cabin 2: -2 bunk beds, 90 cm wide - Shelf - Side table - Dining and living room - Sofa, rocking chair and side table - Open fireplace - Dining table with 4 chairs -Kitchen - Wood-burning stove - Grill grate - Sink Baths: - Separate toilet - Dry toilet Outdoor solar shower Veranda: - Seating Guest access Directions: We recommend flying via Stockholm (ARN) and continuing your journey by train and bus (bus stop “Stöllet Riksväg 62,” approx. 7 hours) or taking a connecting flight to Sälen (SCR), Torsby (TYF), Mora (MXX), or Hagfors (HFS), followed by travel by bus or car to Stöllet (approx. 1–2 hours). From Stollet, you can expect a walk of approximately 8.7 miles (14 km) to Lake Stölletsjön and NaturCamp. You can arrive by car at any time. The gravel road branches off from the E16 and continues for 5 km (3 miles) through the forest. You can park right in front of the cabin. Access in winter (Nov.(March 1–31) cannot be guaranteed. The road is not cleared regularly when there is snow. Snow chains are recommended. Other things to note Surroundings: The Värmland region in central Sweden is a natural landscape characterized by over 10,000 lakes and vast spruce and pine forests, making it an ideal destination for an active Swedish vacation. Sweden's untamed nature is perfect for exploring by kayak or canoe, as well as by bike, on foot, or on skis. The nearest town, Stöllet, can be reached by car in 20 minutes. You can get the essentials at a small Coop supermarket. There is a small burger stand, a ski rental shop, and a gas station. The old wooden church, Norra Ny Kyrka, in the town center is worth seeing. The next-largest town is Malung, which can be reached by car in about 45 minutes and offers cafés, restaurants, and other shopping options. The Brattfallet Waterfall is best admired during one of the countless hikes around the waterfall. In the Hovfjället Nature Reserve, a break in nature with a Swedish “fika” – a coffee break in good company with pastries, preferably a cinnamon roll – is a must. A fun activity for the whole family is searching for the trolls in Trollstigen, who hide among wooden and stone huts. North of Lake Vänern and the capital, Karlstad, there are numerous museums, stately parks, and historic manor houses that are well worth a visit for those interested in culture.
