The space The property dates back to the 18th century with the traditional Salento vaulted ceilings throughout having been architecturally designed with the environment in mind. Enjoying 4 bedrooms, 3 ensuite with king sized beds, a beautiful vaulted living room (50m2) and a separate TV snug room both with open fireplaces. The well equipped traditional kitchen offers a large SMEG induction hob/oven, larder fridge/freezer and Nespresso coffee machine. Central to the kitchen is the rustic dinning table for 10 people to enjoy the wonderful food available. For the warm summer nights the kitchen opens on to a terrace with BBQ area and Pergola with dinning area for up to 10 people. There is a separate utility room with sink, washing machine and an extra wine fridge. Also a second Nespresso machine/kettle and tea making facilities. The heating/cooling system is provided by an photovoltaic electrically-driven, air-source heat pump. All rooms are fitted with underfloor heating and cooling fan coils. The garden is designed with fruits, grasses, and shrubs, supported by a timed irrigation system. The 10 m * 4m swimming pool is salt-treated with a counter current for that energetic swim! The location is perfect not only to visit Lecce a 10 min drive away but both the Ionian and Adriatic seas, offering a choice of stunning turquoise beaches within 30-40 minutes drive of the property. The property is located on the Valle della Cupa cycle path which leads to nearby villages and the ancient Messapian and Roman site of Archeological Rudiae.
