Four renovated farm huts in the Karoo, perfect for a quiet and relaxing break, far away from any interruptions. Located 45 km outside Cradock on a veld farm near the Fish River. The space Offering our newly restored farm huts as self-catering backpacker style weekend/holiday accommodation in the Fish River farming area in the Karoo. The accommodation is situated about 300 km from PE on N10 between Cradock (40 km) and Middelburg (60 km) in the Eastern Cape. Staying here you will experience peace, starry nights, glorious sunsets, and an almost audible silence. The perfect place to unwind, relax, and meditate. Things to do: walking, cycling (please bring your own mountain bikes), birding, tour of a working livestock and crop farm along the Fish River. The Mountain Zebra National Park is a 55 km drive and perfect for a day visit. The Fish River Tennis Club is available for use, 13 km away. The huts are 12 km off the tar road so please bring a vehicle that is able to drive on farm roads. The nearest shops are 45 km away so it's advisable to bring supplies with you.
