Escape to Donkey Retreat, a charming shepherd's hut tucked away on a peaceful smallholding, where our friendly donkeys live right next door . Perfect for solo travellers or a cosy couple (bed is small double 105cm wide) , this handmade hut is insulated with sheep's wool and warmed by electric heater or wood fired stove. Feels like a boutique hotel room. Rustic exterior includes all weather ground rugs & comfy seating to lounge around in. Well behaved dogs are welcome and garden area is secure. The space There is a very small double bed 105 cm wide which can hold 2 people snugly! There is a small pull up table so somewhere to dine and a fully functioning kitchen with 2 ring stove, oven, air fryer, toaster, fridge with freezer compartment. Quite a well equipped kitchen for a small space. There is an oil filled heater which heats the space very well and an electric blanket. There are fans for the summer . There is a new smart TV that has been installed for those bad weather days or winter evenings which has Netflix, Amazon prime , other free channels . The hut is lined with sheep’s wool so very well insulated and feels like a hotel room not a hut! There is a bbq and box of BBQ items including coal The horses & donkeys feeding time is 7 am so there maybe a little braying and neighing at that time . Guest access Parking in just as you access the property through the gate to the right in front of one of the barn doors, then it’s a short walk to the hut . There are 2 horses and 2 rescue Donkey on the property and as much as all the animals are lovely and well behaved we never take risks letting our or anyone else dog wander in to where they are. So please keep dogs on leads when walking through the yard.
