The Nest

The Nest is a garden studio offering a cosy space under vaulted ceilings with an en-suite shower room. In a rural and very peaceful location. Enjoy our Breakfast offerings outside, Under the apple trees surrounded by bird song. Nature walks on your doorstep, 400 acres of ancient woodland 5 minutes walk away. 2 local pubs in walking distance & a well stocked village shop. Glyndebourne is 4 miles away, Lewes just 5 miles and we are just 25 mins from the sea & the south downs. The space The nest is a gorgeous self-contained garden studio in Laughton. Surrounded by nature and bird song, bright star filled skies. The Nest is Comfortable and cosy, with cotton bed sheets, fluffy pillows & a lovely en-suite shower room. An Outdoor seating area under the apple trees & your own hammock to relax in. Please note the garden is shared with the owner but you have a private section during your stay. Numerous walks and bike trails on your door step, 400 acres of ancient woodland to explore just 5 minutes walk away. We are in a very special spot of East Sussex countryside. Lots of Great pubs locally, including our lovely local The Roebuck inn, which is in walking distance. Choose the rd or walk through the woods. Our local fully stocked village shop is a 2 min journey by car, or a 20 minute walk. Find everything you could need from artisan breads to warm croissants, local eggs & milk & fresh coffee. The studio is 4 miles from Glyndebourne, 5 miles to Lewes, a bustling town with great shops, including plenty of pub’s & restaurants. Buses from the local pub will take you all the way to Brighton in just 40 minutes for days out in the vibrant lanes. The space is cosy and comfortable, a perfect home from home stay for 2 people. with both in and out-door seating areas, under the apple trees to enjoy a cuppa or breakfast outside. Please note the space is located in the hosts garden and you will share a drive way & garden, although you will enjoy your own section of garden during your stay. A comfortable standard double bed with pure cotton sheets & views from your bed of our beautiful copper beech tree. Tea's and coffee will be provided , plus a selection of breakfast cereals, bread and preserves. If you require any extras then the owner can arrange a hamper with lots of local goodies. Or a bottle of chilled wine for your arrival. Please note there is no kitchen. However glasses, cups and plates will be provided plus a small fridge, toaster and kettle. You will need a car as the studio is located in the countryside. During your stay why not book a massage, facial or reflexology session with your host. Pre-booking is essential. Guest access Guest have access to the studio en-suite & an allocated outside seating area. Plus a hammock under the apple trees. However we ask that guest do not venture into the hosts garden beyond this point. Other things to note You have exclusive use of The Nest studio and outdoor seating area plus a car parking space outside the studio. The rest of the garden belongs to the owners and they ask that you respect their privacy. Please note the owners have a very friendly dog who may like to say hello. Our garden is not totally secure which is why we have a no dog policy for guests.
