Situated along the main road that leads to Aosta (about 30min) on one side and to Courmayeur (about 40min) and Mont Blanc on the other, the PROVANEY apartment proves to be an extremely convenient and strategic base for exploring the whole Aosta Valley without long transfers to reach: - SKI SLOPES (La Thuile 40min; Pila cable car 30min; Cervinia just over 1hr); - SPAS (QC Terme Pré-Saint-Didier about 20min; QC Terme Saint-Vincent about 40min); - CASTLES (Saint-Pierre, Sarre, Aymavilles about 15min). The name "PROVANEY" comes from the small Chapel of Provaney found at the entrance to the village. Founded by Baron Antoine-Balthazar d'Avise in 1675 and rebuilt in the Neo-Gothic style at the end of the 19th century by the then owner of the castle, Constantin Milliery, the chapel has a gabled façade with a large pointed arch and a small round window topped by a pinnacle. The altar was made by Giovanni Comoletti, a master of Neo-Gothic cabinetmaking. **TOURIST TAX** Under resolution no. 38 of the Municipality of Avise dated 30/12/2024, the tourist tax pursuant to Art. 4 of Regional Law no. 10/23 is set at EUR 0.50 per person per night.
