Old town house close to the market square

Enjoy a memorable visit when you stay in this old cottage in the town centre. Convenient for all amenities and travel connections, has bags of character - low ceilings, beams, tiny doorways and uneven floors! Not ideal for giants or those not so steady on their feet but cosy and comfortable for anyone who’s happy to duck under doorways. Close to a pub so sometimes noisy at weekends but this doesn’t bother us usually and we hope it won’t disturb you. Please refer to additional notes. The space Private front door into sitting / dining room. Comfortable seating, a small table and chairs,. A tiny kitchen which is NOT renovated but which has tea and coffee making facilities, a toaster and a fridge. There is crockery, glassware and cutlery etc so you can make sandwiches or eat a takeaway etc. but there are no cooking facilities. There is a small courtyard garden which is available if the weather is fine. It’s a private and secure space. Upstairs there’s a bedroom and bathroom. There’s a large bath, but no separate shower cubicle. Guest access Sitting room, dining room, staircase, bedroom, bathroom. Very basic and unrenovated kitchen. Small courtyard garden. During your stay We are usually here to help but will leave you in peace to enjoy your stay unless you request our assistance. If you need to borrow anything you have forgotten to bring with you we will do our best to assist. Other things to note Please consider the low beams and doorways, the church bells and the pub in the street. Some might find these off-putting but ours is a comfy place to stay with plenty of charm and character. If you want to be within easy walking distance of the town centre, this is ideal. We line dry our laundry as much as possible and don’t iron the cotton sheets! We are environmentally conscious and try to tread lightly planet. We do our best not to use unnecessary chemicals and to make the house clean and comfortable using quality hand-selected homewares, pre-loved where possible. Please don’t expect a boutique hotel, this is an individual old fashioned home. (But we do have heating and wifi!)
