Welcome to the Salty Dog Suite, one of three residences on the Salty Dog property on the West End of Cayman Brac. Here, you will find a brand new, comfortable, amenity filled space perfect for two people. Relax and enjoy the screened in porch, wake up to an ocean view, and enjoy comforts like a fully stocked kitchen, Smart TV, fast internet, and brand new furnishings. Check in early and check out late- we want your vacation to be as stress free as possible! The space The Salty Dog property has been newly renovated and now boasts 3 beautiful oceanfront units on the livelier West End of Cayman Brac. Here, you're close to the restaurants and shops for convenience, but are secluded behind a beautiful expanse of trees and plants for comfort. Enjoy the ocean view from inside your unit or wander down the steps to take in the iron shore and dip into the 8 foot deep cleared cutout, perfect for snorkeling and cooling off. All units boast brand new furnishings, outdoor seating, access to the ocean and iron shore, and 24/7 concierge service to help you have the best stay possible! Some things to note: You may rent all 3 units simultaneously for a large gathering. We have 2 Vespas (with helmets and covers) to rent. Please only rent the Vespas if you have experience riding. We have 2 bicycles to use included with your stay. We have 2 ocean kayaks to use included with your stay. We offer a charter trip service to Little Cayman/Owen Island for a day of swimming and snorkeling, or a charter fishing trip including cleaning and prep of any fish you catch! We hope you love the Brac as much as we do and are committed to helping you have the vacation you want! Guest access At the cottage, you have private access to the entire home and screened porch. You have shared access to the ocean/iron shore and to the outdoor areas and amenities (kayaks, chairs, tables, bicycles, outdoor shower). Other things to note Please note that per Cayman Island law, the Tourism Accommodation Tax (TAT) of 13% will be added to stays booked by any non-citizen of the Cayman Islands. ALSO IMPORTANT TO NOTE: There are two ring cameras that face the exterior of the property for your safety and the maintenance of the units. The Vespa covers are buckled under each wheel, so please be sure to unbuckle before taking the cover off. When you are not using it, please place the Vespa under the deck and replace the cover. The helmets are in the laundry room. The space next to the laundry room is for use by the entire property. Please feel free to hang/store scuba gear here. It's the Brac! We're in nature, so you may encounter a random insect or two inside the unit. There are beautiful pine trees and their needles are all around. To minimize any bugs that may appear, please be sure to keep the doors shut. Turning off the porch light at night is also helpful. The outcrop to the iron shore is a bit rocky so you'll definitely need water shoes, sandals, or sneakers. It's a beautiful swimming hole with crystal clear water and incredible snorkeling opportunities. However, it's not a white sand beach, so please be aware of that when booking.
