** Host does not charge a cleaning or any additional fees.** Little House is a 1940's farmhouse in a quiet, rural neighborhood that is centrally located to numerous attractions such as: Bristol Motor Speedway, Barter Theatre in Abingdon, VA, the Creeper Trail in Damascus, VA , the Appalachian Trail, and South Holston Lake or local mountain streams for fishing. Little House has a great front and back porch to sit on and enjoy your morning coffee with the sound of a creek and a peaceful mountain view. During summer months, Little House has a fire pit to enjoy, a grill for cooking out (charcoal is not provided), as well as corn hole and paddle ball for family fun. There is a country road to have a nice walk with farm/woods scenery to experience. Little House is ideal for couples or small families to enjoy togetherness or have local access to the areas many sites and activities. Little House is self check in with keypad code. Guests will have the entire home and grounds. Guest will be notified prior to their stay of how to access the home. It is a keyless entry so a code will be provided for the guest. All contact information is posted on the refrigerator. Host access is readily available for issues or concerns but is not necessary for those that just want to enjoy their stay. Little House in the Valley is in a quiet, rural neighborhood. It is geared for couples and small families who wish to just get away and enjoy the peacefulness of our home. Little House is not suitable for infants and toddlers, as the home is not childproofed. Our first cottage, Cranberry Cottage, is directly across the road from Little House. This would be perfect for families that wanted to vacation together, yet wanted their own individual space. However, both can be individually booked as well. There are various hiking trails near Little House. Backbone Rock (20 minutes away) is a favorite for locals and visitors to hike, repel, or just have a picnic. The Appalachian Trail (10 minutes away) is also a favorite for hikers going through that need a break, or a good day hike up to Uncle Nick's grave and back. The area of Shady Valley is especially appreciated by bikers that enjoy driving "The Snake" during the summer months and anyone that appreciates a beautiful fall foliage. Firepit and grill is seasonally available. The chairs and wood for the fire pit are located at the backside of the building to the left of the home. The cornhole boards and bags are also located here. If you would like to grill, there are grilling utensils on the top shelf above the microwave.
