In the heart of Lapland, near fantastic fishing/ice fishing, rivers, forests, snowmobile tracks, skiing, this lovely house built 1929 is easily accessible. An hour from Kiruna airport. You can see the Aurora borealis from the house. Quiet village location. Your own snowshoe trail starts at your doorstep. Suitable for couples, families or bring a friend. Bedlinen and towels included, as well as instant coffee and tea.Plenty of free parking in the yard (150 SEK extra per day for engine heater, pay when you arrive). Free EV charger overnight. There are 3 single and one double bed upstairs in the big bedroom, and a sofabed downstairs. Washing machine free of charge in the service building behind the house, shared with the other cabins. Fishing permits (year-round) and ice-fishing equipment available at additional charge. Very good pike-fishing in lakes. Trout and salmon in Kalix River. Guided tours on foot, by car or snowmobile (early December to late April) also available. Don't miss our late evening snowmobile tour. We go into the forest, make a fire and hopefully see the Aurora. Or rent snowshoes, the trail starts right behind the house. From December to early March we arrange a reindeer tour, you get to meet reindeer at a feeding station. There is a woodfired sauna by the house, available for rent. All tours cost extra and are exclusive to you and your family/friends. Local guide. The large bedroom upstairs is semi-divided by a low wall but there is no door between the rooms. Washing machine available free of charge in the service building behind the house. Free overnight EV charger. Sorry no electrical car charging from regular outlets due to the fire hazard. Regular car engine heater is available, 150 SEK per day. Woodfired sauna (private rental behind the house) available at extra cost SEK 600 per evening. Other things to note A village road passes the house. Moderate traffic. Near Kalix, Torne and Tärendö rivers for great fishing in summer/autumn. Buses from Kiruna to Masugnsbyn and back: check Länstrafiken Norrbotten for timetable. What this is: rural location at the edge of a village, although only an hour from Kiruna, and although route 395 runs outside the village you have access to a huge forest that begins just behind the house. What this is not: city location, nor totally isolated.
