Description
A private mountain retreat at 2,640 feet above sea level, ideal for solo travelers, couples, friends, and families. The stay includes a rustic cabin as the main lodging, plus the option to add a camping experience. Guests may set up their own tent in the designated outdoor area if desired, making it exclusive to their group. When not used for camping, the area may be accessed briefly by others to quietly enjoy the views. Designed for rest, nature, and disconnection. Pure calm. The space Casa Marsellesa is a private mountain refuge located at Finca Las Puertas de San Pedro, a working coffee farm in the central mountains of Puerto Rico. This is a place for guests seeking peace, quiet, and a genuine local experience, far from tourist‑oriented destinations. Here, you’ll eat, walk, rest, and enjoy nature much like the locals do—at a slower, simpler pace. The stay includes a comfortable, lived‑in mountain house with panoramic views, simple and functional interiors, a fully equipped kitchen, reliable Wi‑Fi, and access to private walking trails across the farm. The setting is intentionally rural, offering deep quiet, scenic hiking, excellent birdwatching, and minimal light pollution. Please note: Casa Marsellesa does not have air conditioning. Due to its elevation (over 2,600 feet above sea level), temperatures are naturally cooler and comfortable year‑round. Even during summer months, nighttime temperatures often drop into the low 70s °F, creating a fresh and pleasant mountain climate. The house is not a luxury property. It reflects authenticity, history, and simplicity, with vintage elements and family‑shared furnishings. It is designed for comfort, calm, and genuine connection rather than modern finishes or resort‑style amenities. ⛺ Optional camping experience Guests may add a camping experience in a designated natural area. You may bring your own camping gear, or rent it from us. When used for camping, the area becomes exclusive to the group. When not used, it may, on rare occasions, be accessed by other guests solely to quietly contemplate the views. The camping area is separate and does not affect the privacy of the house. Optional extras (subject to availability): • Camping tent: $30 per stay (3 available) • Rest / sleep kit: $25 each (2 available) • Additional guests: $10 per night per guest (from the 3rd guest) ☕ Included in the house Local coffee, one bottle of water per guest, salt, pepper, white and brown sugar, basic spices, napkins, sufficient toilet paper, shampoo, hair conditioner, body wash, hand soap, and basic cleaning supplies. 🌱 By staying here, guests directly support sustainable coffee farming practices focused on land care, biodiversity, and the gradual elimination of chemical herbicides. Casa Marsellesa is a quiet retreat for rest, nature, and authentic connection. It is not suitable for parties, loud gatherings, or events. Guest access Guests enjoy exclusive access to the house, with no other guests or groups sharing the indoor living spaces during their reservation. The only exceptions may include the owners or authorized team members, who will always request permission in advance and enter only with the guest’s consent, strictly for property‑related matters. The property also includes access to a designated camping and viewpoint area. When guests choose to use the camping experience, this area becomes exclusive to their group for the duration of their stay.
