The Bolthole:no-frill quiet base in the New Forest

Find yourself surrounded by trees, ponies & tawny owls. Our maisonette is the perfect place for a weekend break immersed in nature. Based at the gateway to the New Forest National Park and within walking distance of Ashurst station, two pubs, bike trails and the open forest. We are also a 5-minute drive from Lyndhurst village; home to great cafes, bike hire and picnic spots. Our space suits couples but will also accommodate small families (camp bed &/or cot for a child &/or infant). The space The property is a single maisonette above our garage, with access to a modern toilet and shower on the ground floor. We follow an eco-concious policy and so are always striving to improve. We hope the space allows you to reconnect with nature's rhythms and sounds. Please note there is no TV, kitchen, refrigeration or cooking facilities. The space is a studio set up and therefore limited to a maximum of two adults. Families of three (perhaps with an additional infant) are the maximum capacity for this space. Guest access The entire guest suite. Access to the garage (underneath the guest area) is not permitted and this internal door will be locked (it's unused). The garage itself may be is use at times during your stay but will respect quiet hours in the house rules. You can access the guest door at the rear of the property. Other things to note We can only accommodate small families, as the room is best suited to couples and families of three. However, in. some circumstances we will accept up to two children as long as the youngest is 24 months and under and able to stay in a travel cot (we do not provide the travel cot). Just make sure you add this to your booking request so we know an infant is staying. There are dogs on the property but you're unlikely to see them during your stay. For this reason, we don't allow pets.
