The space Full of historic character, this classic period cottage offers a magical countryside escape. With charming low ceilings, exposed beams, and a welcoming atmosphere, it perfectly balances traditional quirks with modern comfort. The ground floor is designed for cosy gatherings. Country stone floors lead you into an open-plan lounge featuring a magnificent log burner, flowing seamlessly into a generous dining area. The fully equipped country kitchen has everything you need to prepare a hearty breakfast or a celebratory supper, while a dedicated work nook tucked into the lounge provides a quiet space for remote working. A modern bathroom with a shower completes the ground floor. Upstairs, the cottage offers a unique, flexible layout across three distinct spaces: Master Bedroom: A spacious and serene super-king room featuring a handsome period fireplace. To offer you the best possible value for your stay, we do not provide bedding for the sofa bed , so if you wish to have 5th or 6th guests (you're welcome to!) please bring your own full sheets, duvet, pillows and towels for them. Please note, you walk through this room to access the third bedroom. Third Bedroom: A truly fun and special space! Outside, the magic continues. A delightful spring stream runs along the front of the property, creating a picturesque setting during the summer months. To the rear, you will find a peaceful, private country garden with a secluded courtyard and patio—the ideal spot for a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. Your Perfect Country Base You are perfectly positioned to explore Wiltshire's rich heritage. Stonehenge, Salisbury Cathedral, and the medieval ruins of Old Wardour Castle are all within easy reach. For foodies, outstanding local country dining can be found just a short drive away at The Compasses Inn and the Beckford Arms. Guest access The whole cottage and garden are exclusively yours. Other things to note As a historic thatched property, the cottage features classic low ceilings and uneven floors, which add to its authentic charm but are worth bearing in mind. Please also take care when parking and supervise children near the lovely stream at the front of the house. We provide full bedding and towels for 4 guests, but you are welcome to have 5 or 6 guests and use our 2nd bedroom sofa bed (it's comfy). Please bring your own bedding/towels/linen/pillows (double bed size sofa bed).
