Our apartment Oberburg IV offers 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a large living-dining room with kitchenette. In the rooms there are 2 beds each, in 4 each 1 extra bed, in one of them additionally 1 cot (dimensions of beds in the picture descriptions). The apartment is spacious and cozy, the rooms are furnished with antiques, but have new beds. All floors and some walls are made of wood. The apartment is particularly suitable for meeting family and friends. The space The apartment OB IV is located on the top floor of the castle. Access is via the stair tower (wooden staircase from 1610) via the Torburg (built-out attic with low ceiling height) through the upper part of the former chapel of the Knights of St. John and then a last staircase to the apartment - thus over 100 steps. For this you will be rewarded with a magnificent view! From the stair tower you reach the small castle garden, which is only available to the guests of the apartments in the castleg and is currently being newly created. A barbecue area with table and benches is already ready for use! The apartment is suitable for families or retreats, but not for groups who want to celebrate loud every evening...! We as hosts live in the castle ourselves and ask for our privacy. Other things to note Depending on the number of beds booked, we prepare the rooms, bed linen and towels are included in the price. Additional costs may apply if additional beds or bed linen are used. Therefore we ask you to tell us before the arrival, how many beds you need, and before your departure, if you used more beds then planned, thank you. On our own website we have gathered more information about shopping etc. In the castle there is one more small apartment, three separate double rooms and in the White House next to the castle there is one other big apartment. IMPORTANT: In order to avoid trouble, we ask you to inform yourself about regulations during the corona pandemic before making an inquiry. Kühndorf belongs to the district of Schmalkalden Meiningen in the state of Thuringia/Thüringen.
