Welcome to Camp! This lakefront cottage is the perfect place to pitch your tent, hang your hammock, or crash on a couch or in the guest room. Spend your trip to Michigan swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, and floating on whatever sprinkle covered donut, pizza slice, or unicorn floatie is nearby. If you're looking for a unique stay in the Metro Detroit area and a local guide to show you the ropes, you've come to the right place! The space This is a small, lakefront cottage. I stay in the upstairs, and the entire downstairs and or lawn/lakefront is available to guests. This listing is for the guestroom (the yellow bedroom with the curtain door in the photos). There is one bathroom, a small kitchen, a guest room, several couches, and room to camp. Please note that there is only one bathroom for all of camp and that this is not the most private of places (feel free to message me for private rates). The beauty of this space is the lake. We have nothing but hard-pressed, shallow, sandy frontage to swim, paddleboard, kayak, play volleyball, or just float in. All boats, paddles, volleyball, and safety gear are provided, but this is not an all sports lake. That means there are no speedboats, jet skis, etc. Basically, the space is made to chill out, enjoy nature, and listen to some great music. Guest access Guest Bedroom Kitchen Laundry Shared Bathroom Common Areas: Library and Music Room During your stay This is a semi-private home stay situation. I live here in paradise with my 16 year old dog, Lolita. Because I am a college professor with 4 jobs but not enough summer work, I can be as available or unavailable as you would like during your stay. I love travel, meeting new people, and hospitality, so I am hoping Airbnb is right for me and that you will enjoy your stay here at camp. If you would like to see all that Metro Detroit has to offer, I can provide transportation, restaurant recommendations, park or city outings, custom local tours, or just about any of the wonderful tastes of Michigan you may be hoping to enjoy. Other things to note As noted above, this is a small cottage with one shared bathroom for all of us and no locking doors. Camp is for adventurers who are ready to dive into the lake life. Bargain hunters and people looking for a private romantic getaway beware; this is not the place you are looking for.
