The space The farmhouse will feel like a home away from home with all the essentials at hand. A lovely breakaway with mountains and nature surrounding you. Also perfect for large families attending weddings in the area. The apartment is separate but attached to the house (private entrance, braai and garden) and can be rented separately or together with the house for large groups. Spacious Elandsrivier Farm apartment. Guest access You will have access to the whole farm, garden, pool and braai area. Children may also play on the swings and slide outside. There are many dirt roads on the farm for hiking and mountain biking. We can arrange a tour of the drying shed to see fruit being dried should you be interested (in season). Do note that the swimming pool is only available from 1 December until 30 April. Other things to note The farm is a working entity with tractors and workers moving around during the summer weeks. A gas bomb and vulture noises are used to chase away sparrows that eat the drying fruit at the drying shed lawn. The farmhouse is out of the way from farm activity but close to the drying shed. If you have never experienced farm life before, you would love the place. Things are very quiet over weekends. No parties allowed. Due to the rural location the wifi is slower than in a city or town. During storms it is often irregular. Mobile reception is also weaker for certain service providers. The apartment is also listed on Airbnb and is attached to the farmhouse but has a separate entrance, braai and entertaining area. The Jungle Jim and pool is shared (should there be guests). Our farm gives you access to mountain roads for walking, hiking or mountain biking. You can view many local birds and indigenous plants. If you visit during the South African summer, you will be able to witness first hand fruit picking in our orchards and drying of fruit at the drying shed. During the winter the mountains around us as well as the Matroosberg often has snow which can be accessed by 4x4 vehicles.
