Description
Do you want a quiet respite from all life’s busyness? Stay in our well-loved boondocked (please read our entire site to understand what this means) RV by a three-acre lake that Canadian Geese visit. Fire pit area for campfires and cooking. Cows, sheep, goats and our sweet Great Pyrenees dogs roam about. Catch and release fishing. Canoe Rental $30, Fishing Pole Rental $15/pole, Firewood $5/bundle (when available), Farm Tour $30 (May - August). (Recreational cannabis not allowed). The space We are a working farm, so you will see large animals about. Please keep small children away from them, and also watch out for electric fences! No swimming, but fishing (catch and release) is allowed, and ask about canoes, available for rental. Feel free to use the fire ring for campfires. One bundle of wood is included with your stay. Extra bundles can be purchased ($5 each). Put fire out when done (bucket provided and lake water). Please make sure to read our manual before you come so you understand what you are renting (not a hotel but a camper). Guest access You are free to roam about the area by the RV and lake. Please stay out of areas around the nearby houses and any outbuildings. Please don’t go through any gates (other than the entry one). Other things to note You'll be basically camping, but "roughing it smoothly." Our RV is boondocked, which means it is not hooked up to water or power. Lights and water pump are run by using a 12V DC battery system. We have a water tank with 100-gallon capacity. We encourage guests to conserve water, but if you run out, there is a hose nearby to fill up the tank again. If you need to use the microwave or air conditioning or heater, you have to turn on the generator. If you are staying in the RV, you can use our Generator for up to 8 hours per booked night at no extra charge. Any usage over this, you agree to pay $10 per hour. This will be settled after your stay through Air BnB’s Resolution Center. At present we don't have a working fridge, but provide coolers for you to purchase ice and put your food in. We do plan to get a new fridge and will update our amenities section when that happens. Because we are a working farm and there are inherent dangers associated with this, we do ask that you sign a Hold Harmless Agreement. Please make sure to read the manual before you come so you understand what we are all about.
