Cottage Mårslätt 2

Torpet Mårslätt is our charming cottage in southern Småland. You’ll stay comfortably in a peaceful setting, yet only 5 minutes from central Tingsryd. Ideal for nature and day trips: Växjö, Karlshamn and Kosta Boda about 40 min, Karlskrona about 50 min. No pets due to allergies/asthma in the owner family. Violations will be charged a cleaning/remediation fee. Final cleaning is not included. Bedding and towels are not included. Crib, changing table and high chair are not available. The space You are welcomed by a bright hallway where you can hang your coats. To the right you’ll find a bedroom, straight ahead is the WC, and to the left you enter the living room and the rest of the house. All rooms are decorated in light colours. Bedroom 1 has a double bed (160 cm wide) and three spacious wardrobes. In the living room you’ll find a comfortable three-seater sofa in Howard style and two rattan armchairs. The furnishings are chosen for relaxed socialising, and there is also a large flat-screen TV. There is also a wood-burning stove that adds extra warmth and cosiness on rainy autumn days or cold winter evenings. The dining room seats 6 around the table, and two more can easily sit at the ends. The kitchen was renovated in 2022 and has everything you need: dishwasher, microwave, induction hob and oven, coffee maker and toaster. In Tingsryd, all waste is sorted, and we’ve made it easy with a well-organised sorting system under the sink. Bedroom 2 has two single beds (80 cm each) pushed together as a double bed. There is also a chest of drawers and a door leading out to the lawn. The room is bright, with large curtains to create a more cosy feel. To reach the laundry room/shower room you need to pass through Bedroom 2. Here you’ll find a fresh shower cabin (purchased summer 2023), washing machine, tumble dryer and cleaning supplies. There is plenty of space and several hooks for towels. A drying rack is also available if you need to do laundry during your stay. Upstairs you’ll find Bedroom 3 with two single beds (90 cm wide), three spacious wardrobes, and a desk overlooking the neighbour’s horse paddock. In the upstairs hall you’ll find the 7th bed, used as a daybed. The windows can be covered with roller blinds, but otherwise the space is simply furnished. On our patio there are cosy wooden outdoor furniture to relax in, and a barbecue. Evenings here are quiet and the sunsets are magical—the only sounds are horses snorting and birdsong from the forest. Guest access The entire house is at your disposal, except for one storage room and one unfinished toilet; both are locked. There is also a garage on the property, which is locked as well. Other things to note No pets allowed. Guests clean themselves after their stay. Bedding and towels are not included. Crib, changing table and high chair are not available.
