Hisanoya sits on the Ohashi River in central Matsue, a city-registered historic ryotei reborn as an elegant whole-house stay. From the second-floor veranda, view the Ohashi Bridge and river; on clear days, sunsets over Lake Shinji. Coffered ceilings and other details preserve the house’s character. Furnishings are curated by the Matsue craft store objects, featuring works by Kenji Funaki and Katsuhisa Ishitobi. In Higashi-Honmachi, with dining nearby; Matsue Castle and Lake Shinji are walkable. Guest access Check-in is self-service and fully contactless. The entrance is equipped with a smart lock, allowing you to enter and exit freely at your own pace during your stay. You can check in any time after 3:00 PM, and check-out is by 11:00 AM. The smart lock code will be sent to you in advance via message, so you can enter the property immediately upon arrival. As this is a private rental, the entire house is reserved for your exclusive use. Other things to note 🏨the Facilities and Your Stay ・The building has two floors and no elevator. Please note that the stairs are somewhat steep, so guests with large luggage or those who may have difficulty with stairs should take extra care. ・Due to the building’s structure, there is no air conditioning in the stairways or hallways. Please be aware that temperature differences may occur depending on the season. ・For hygiene reasons, we do not provide shared condiments. ・Please do not bring non-guests into the accommodation. ・If any stains on the beds, sheets, or other linens cannot be removed through normal washing, replacement costs may be charged. ・Please do not take any facilities equipment or amenities from the property. In the event of damage or loss, additional charges may apply. 🚭 Smoking Policy ・Smoking is strictly prohibited throughout the entire property, including the entrance porch and balcony (this includes all types of cigarettes, such as traditional and heated tobacco products). If smoking is detected, additional cleaning fees for deodorization may be charged. Guests may also be charged for any damage caused by smoking, including stains on wallpaper or furniture, or damage resulting from improper handling of cigarettes.
