Cow Shed

The Cow Shed has been lovingly restored to give a homely and rustic feel. It is perfect for a romantic getaway, homely workspace, or stay if you are booked in to watch live music at The Picturedrome in Holmfirth or attending a wedding. It offers comfortable accommodation for up to 2 guests, it is a private annex attached to our family home and has a small outdoor seating area. It’s cosy all year round with log burning stove to keep you toasty in winter or open the patio doors in summer. The space We are happy to take dogs, message to discuss if more than one - all we ask is that they are kept in the living room and not on the bed and not left in the Cow Shed on their own. We have a separate field that can be used with your fur babies, see the photos that some of our guests have shared. We are able to take one night bookings upon request. We are happy to help make your stay even more special and can help with any additional touches for any celebrations, just message. The Cow Shed has everything you need with a compact kitchen comprising an Air Fryer, microwave, electric hob, kettle, toaster and fridge. There is a cosy double bed, perfect for a good nights sleep following some amazing local walks or dancing all night at The Picturedrome! The bedroom has an open wardrobe with full length mirror and hair dryer leading onto the bathroom with shower. There are some gorgeous touches included for your stay and fresh eggs will be waiting for you fresh from our chickens. We have now fenced around the Cow Shed garden so you can enjoy the sun in your own extended space, perfect for a bbq 🍖 Guest access Onsite parking. Other things to note The Cow Shed is a unique stay in a small village surrounded with some beautiful walks, wild swimming spots and cycle routes. You will get a warm welcome at the Boot & Shoe pub and the village shop/off license. It is only a 15 walk to Holmfirth with some lovely Independent Shops, as well as some supermarkets. It has a range of bars and eateries with live music in some bars and The Picturedrome! Why not try a tour of Holmfirth Vineyard great for something a little different. Just a short walk to the next village is Hepworth where you can visit The Butchers Arms for a drink or meal with daily special offers (eg Friday BYGOF Fish & Chips). You can also hire or book a slot at Uppergate Farm Sauna & Swimming Pool. Other pubs only a short walk or drive include The Boshaw Trout (Hade Edge), The Red Lion (Jackson Bridge), The Fox House. Holmfirth is well known as the location for the long running TV series Last of the Summer Wine - where you can visit Sid’s Café and Nora Batty’s Step. For all local events and festivals see ‘Holmfirth Events’ online. We are also within an hour of Leeds, Manchester, Sheffield and close to the Peak District.
