Sunny house with old garden near beach *

Wellcome to our sunny and spacious home 5 min walk from several clear water lakes and a lovely sandy beach, as well as the forest and breathtaking hikes just outside our doorstep. The house has a big, old, secluded garden with no insight where you can enjoy the sun from early morning to sunset with several terraces and a big roof balcony. All photos you see here are taken within a walking distance of max 10 min from the house. We are a family of 4 and an allergy friendly dog. The space The house is spacious enough for 8-10 people. We have 10 real beds (not sofas!) and 4 bedrooms. We have 2 living rooms. One ajoins the kitchen with large windows and two double french doors into the garden, this is where we have our large dinner table and an area with a daybed (the 10th bed) and arm chairs. Our other living room has two big sofas, a fireplace and a double french door leading directly out onto a big terrace. As for the kitchen we are foodies and like to have a well equipped kitchen - for at least 10 persons. Among others we have a dishwasher, a blender, a mixer, a maschine för mixing dough for bread/cakes etc, owen, stove and a water boiler and off course different kinds of coffiemaking ;-) There is a toilet on each of the three floors of the house and one newly renovated bathroom with a shower as well as a shower/bathtub in the more dated washing room in the basement. We live in a small rural town of 880 people with many old, original houses. A rare mix of a genuine and untouched village yet with all commodyties and modern facilities. The forest with wildlife, plenty of wild berries and walks in beautiful scenery is just outside our doorstep and yet we have 5 min walk to our local store, the pizzaria, our liberary, our hairdresser and Swedens smallest cinema – with contemporary and childrens movies at least twice a week. Apart from swimming in the lakes you can hire cannoes or go fishing from the cliffs and the wooden pires scattered around the lakeshores. A 5 min walk from the house you find Nääs Fabriker, an old factory by one of our lakes, turned into an area with an exceptional hotel and restaurant, cozy café/restaurant, a local brewery, local bakery and a mix of clothes- and interior design- and delicacy stores. In the summer you can sit on the waterfront and enjoy the sunset and a drink. If you want a break from relaxation and experience something outside of Tollered, the magnificent Nääs Castle and it’s Café is only 5 min by car. The old, picturesque nabourtown, Alingsås - known for its many cafees and restaurants - is 20 min by car. Here you also find all kinds of shops, food markets, banks etc. If you want to venture into Swedens 2nd biggest city, Gothenburg, is's only 20 min by car, and 24 min by train. In Gothenburg you also have access to the sea, as well as the string of small islands along the coastal line that can be reach by a short ferry ride. We love our home and have lived here for 24 years and have build and renovated it into a combination of a cosy, very light and spacious house with preserved charm and yet all commodyties to make living easy and pleasurable both inside and out. We also provide pillows, blankets /quilts. You will have to bring towels and bedlinnen. You´ll have access to our entire home so please be careful and treat it as your own.
