Runaway Retreat Rental Cabin

Nestled in a cozy RV campground, this dry cabin is conveniently located 2 miles from the airport, enroute to Glacier Bay National Park. This is the only rental cabin available at Hollywood Farms RV Park and shares all amenities (free) with our RV camper guests. At the RV clubhouse, you will have 24 hour access to WiFi, coffee, 2 bathrooms, 1 shower, and laundry. Fly in or take the Alaska Marine Highway, and you'll feel like you took a step back in time to the friendly homesteader way of life. The space Basics: The cabin is a 16x16 one room dry cabin with a covered porch. There are 4 stairs leading up to the porch to the front door. There is no running water or plumbing in the cabin. There is a lighted path to the clubhouse for night time visits to the restroom. Cellular: The cabin sits on the very edge of cellular service and may or may not get a signal. Some cellular providers (like Verizon) do not work in Gustavus at all. We have an AT&T tower in town but it neglects to service our community sufficiently. Wi-Fi is available in the clubhouse. There is a full size bed equipped with bedding and pillows. There is a wood frame futon with an extra thick plush mattress for a luxury nights sleep. A single blanket and pillow is provided for the futon. Extra bedding provided upon request. Drinking water and cups are provided in your cabin and in the clubhouse. Bathrooms are located in the clubhouse at the RV park. There are 2 bathrooms, one contains a large walk in shower stall. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash and towels are provided Washer and Dryer is available, exclusive to cabin and RV guest use only. Laundry soap is provided. Guest access The cabin has one front door entrance with a big covered porch and a back door for emergency exit only. There is a clubhouse available for all guests to use that includes free Wi-Fi, coffee, microwave, the bathrooms and laundry facility. There is a separate room at the clubhouse for access to our garbage and recycling. There is a big utility sink available for rinsing/washing out recyclables, or any dishes you may have. There are separate bins provided for trash, recycling and compost. We offer paper plates, plastic utensils, paper cups and napkins, located in the utility room. We currently don't provide any cookware. There is a microwave available for heating and cooking at the clubhouse. There is a picnic shelter in the campground with tables, a fire pit, and a propane barbeque available for your use. Other things to note Fireworks are prohibited in our park. Cleaning of fresh caught fish is not permitted in our park. Do not throw any food waste into fire pits. This will attract bears and dogs.
