'The Old P.O' Homestay - Unique Quirky Space

The 'Old P.O' Homestay is a renovated Queenslander, once the town’s post office and owner’s residence, featuring stained-glass windows and timber floors. 150m from the town centre, 300m from the mountain bike trail, and less than 20 minutes to Eungella. Price is for the full house. If you don’t need the post office wing (bedroom 3 and private lounge), send an enquiry for a two-bedroom price. The space A traditional Queenslander featuring a large backyard and spacious patio perfect for entertaining. Upstairs offers two bedrooms and a toilet, while downstairs includes a bathroom with a shower over a beautiful bath, plus a second toilet. The original post office wing downstairs includes a third bedroom and a small private lounge, connected directly to the main house. Located in a very quiet area, this is not a party house — it’s the perfect place to relax, unwind, and listen to the local birdlife. As a true old Queenslander, the home is full of character, with charming quirks such as creaky timber floors and uneven windows that add to its unique charm and history. Guest access Access to the whole house, when you book by default, if you don't need the third bedroom and associated second lounge, send an enquiry and we can give you the 2 bedroom price, which still includes all the other spaces in the house. Please note the post office is never rented out separately to the main house when you have booked. Other things to note A series of improvements are planned at the property, including a new fence, patio upgrades. This beautiful space will continues to evolve while keeping its original charm and character, so please keep checking back. We are pet friendly, but please be aware that if your pet damages the property or urinates inside, there will be a minimum $150 additional cleaning fee. Please note that we do have stairs in the house, and they do not have baby gates on them. Given the nature of some of the old-style windows, they would not be considered child-safe. We do, however, offer window locks for the bedroom upstairs where children usually stay.
