Villa Skitunäs by sea near Kotka

Villa Skitunäs is a fantastic holiday destination for you and for your family and friends in Pyhtää, only about an hour’s drive from Helsinki. Skitunäs seaside cottage is located on the sea front in a beautiful wooded grassy plot. The villa is equipped with all amenities and the villa is suitable for use year-round holidays. The rental cottage is surrounded by extensive terraces and there is a boat dock, stony beach and barbecue hut. Suitable for 10-12 people. The space The Kotteria Skitunäs villa is located by the sea and there is a stunning view to the sea from the living room. With four bedrooms and a loft with a pool table, the villa is ideal for families, with plenty in the surrounding forest to see and do during your stay. The Skitunäs villa has spacious living area downstairs with a kitchen, dining area and lounge with a wood burning fireplace, three twin bedrooms, sauna and shower room. Upstairs includes a large space that has a pool table and single beds for five people. There is also a separate sleeping alcove with a double bed above sauna. The alcove is accessed via a separate entrance from the sauna terrace and this alcove-bedroom is only accessible by ladder and it is not suitable for disabled people. The cottage has two terraces with sea views. Beautiful sea view from living room all the way to Loviisa. The Kotteria villa is ideal for self-catering. The hut, the gas grill and the fireplace on the yard offer wonderful possibilities for barbecue and for cooking together. The rental cottage has a small, cozy sauna. The sauna bench is about 1.8 meters long, so it is suitable for 3-4 people. The sauna has a wood-burning stove, washroom with shower and a toilet. The cottage sauna is included in the rent. In addition to the cottage sauna, Skitunäs has a separate wood-heated sauna by the sea. The seashore sauna is suitable for around 10 people and is located right by the sea. The seaside sauna is available for rent at an extra cost of EUR 45 per day. The cottage is located only about one hour drive from Helsinki. There is a supermarket and a simple restaurant about 7km away. The seaside town of Kotka with its wider variety of shops and restaurants is located 32km away. Kotka Maretarium, Maritime Centre Vellamo and Imperial Fishing Lodge Museum in Kotka are well worth a visit, as is the idyllic Stromfors Iron Mill area in Ruotsinpyhtää nearby. Bus to Kotka and Helsinki 7km. Car required Guest access All the villa premises are for the guests. Seaside sauna by the shore is available at extra charge 45 euros/day Other things to note Cleaning and bed linen are not included in the pricing. Bed linen and towels are 20€/set. You can either clean by yourself or order cleaning from us. Cleaning will be charged according to the work, but the minimum charge upon booking is 160 €. This includes 3,5 hours cleaning. At the seashore we have a big wood-heated sauna. This sauna is for about 10 people and it is available for use at 45 euros per day. Some pets might be allowed. Bringing pets must be agreed beforehand with the landlord in writing. Extra charge for each pet is 10€ per day. Skitunäs villa has a drilled well. The water has been analyzed 13/12/2016 and the water is microbiologically pure. However, the water has too much Fluoride (6.2 mg / L). Fluoride is an odorless and tasteless element, which in large quantities and with long-term use may result in colour changes in teeth and may also affect the structure of the bone. In short term use this amount of Fluoride has no health effects. Fluoride is more harmful to children, but adults should not use water containing fluoride more than 2 mg in long term use (for many years) either. If you wish, you can bring the drinking water with you for your stay.
