The open plan design of the chalets accommodates two adults in a queen size bed, has a corner bath which overlooks the river yet is totally private from any angle, an inside fireplace and kitchenette and an outside private patio. The space Only 40minutes to an hour’s drive from Johannesburg and Pretoria, Little Swift is situated in the Skeerpoort Valley. Overlooked by the majestic Magaliesberg Mountain Range, the valley offers, natural beauty, tranquility and lots of activities in and around the area. Little Swift Chalets are situated on 50hectares of game and farming land with 2.4kms of Magalies River frontage. The farm is stocked with both wildlife and farming livestock. Wild animals include but are not limited to, zebra, wildebeest, impala, nyala, the elusive cape otter, vervet monkeys, civets, jackals, reedbuck and leguaans. The bird life is prolific, with an abundance of water birds, bushveld birds, raptors, grassland birds and our very own emus. Guest access OUR Chalets: Setting: The Magalies river winds around the game farm and the 8 chalets are situated on a horse shoe bend of the river. Each chalet is between 30m-50m apart, overlooking the river and offering complete privacy providing an ideal venue for a break-away weekend with your significant other. Lapa – communal area: In the center of the horseshoe, slightly elevated is the communal Lapa which has a whirl pool, an infinity swimming pool, a grassy area ideal for a braai and then the inside braai and serving counter, ideal for chilly winters. The Chalets: Each of the 8 chalets is fully self-catering. The chalets are equipped with a fridge, double hot plate stove, microwave, linen, cutlery and crockery Romantics! For of those wanting to spoil your significant other, we can provide chocolates and champagne. Other things to note ACTIVITIES AT” LITTLE SWIFT” and on the farm: This picturesque setting, which is approximately 20km from Hartebeespoort Dam, is not meant for the excitement-seeker, although there is plenty to see and do in the area. At Little Swift: • Walks • Bird watching • Game viewing • Swimming • Fishing Fishing: The fishing experience varies depending on the rains and resultant water level of the Magalies River. Carp, Barbel & yellow fish are the likely catches of the day. A daily rod fee of R150.00 per day applies. You may keep one fish per day and otherwise we practice on a strictly catch and release basis and encourage the use of barbless hooks. Children: On special request, young children can share a chalet with their parents, however, because the chalets are equipped with one queen size bed, guests would need to bring mattress and bedding for the child. A maximum of two children may share with their parents in a chalet. Because the river, the swimming pool and the whirlpool are unfenced children must be supervised at all times. Pet Policy: Our policy is strictly no dogs allowed, however occasionally by prior arrangement; we will waiver this policy for small dogs. These dogs must be supervised and on a lead at all times as there are both wild animals and livestock on the farm. Owners are responsible for the welfare of not only their pets but also the animals that live at Little Swift. Noise Policy: “Little Swift” has the tranquil quietness of the wilderness, guests come here to relax, rest and break away from the hustle, bustle and noise of city life. Our policy is strictly a NO loud music /noise policy.
