Description
Traditional 16th century Finn forest wooden house and second wood cabin housing a sauna set in a peaceful lakeside hamlet. This property comprises of the two log cabins for guests to have full use of during their rental period. The space The larger traditional Finnskog cabin was built by Finnish settlers in the late 16th century in nearby Lagåsson. It was moved to Uvanå in the 1970’s. where it now stands behind the old village store ( Gamla Affär). It has a large bedroom/ living area with an open fireplace and sleeps two adults comfortably with space for further single bed if needed. It has a separate kitchen/ dining area and a small bathroom with toilet and hand basin. The second garden cabin has a separate sauna room, bunk beds and shower area with views down to the lake. Guest access The two cabins/ stugas are set in the large gardens behind the old village store. Guests will have access to the garden, the sheds which have garden furniture, cycles, fishing and canoe equipment. Other things to note The old village store/ Gamla Affär is also available for rental ( please see our separate listing) it may be possible that others have rented the main house although we will try to avoid this, so that you can enjoy the space and gardens to yourselves.
