English version: You are booking the entire house, and you are very welcome to use the garden area in front of the house (behind the garage). If you find something in our herb garden that would complement your dinner, please feel free to help yourselves—just kindly avoid harvesting entire plants. The garden area behind our home (past the garbage bins) is our private space and must not be used by guests. The sandbox and trampoline belong to our children. After checking with them, there will surely be room for your little ones as well. Please note that the use of the garden - and especially the trampoline - is at your own risk. Please note that the barn must not be entered. Other things to note *English translation follows below* The optimal occupancy of the house is 4 people, as the bathroom is relatively small and the bedroom on the ground floor only has a 140 cm wide bed (ideal for e.g. two children). The upstairs bedroom can be reached through the living room. Main heating sources for heating are the kitchen oven on the ground floor and the fireplace in the living room. In addition, the house has electric heaters in the bathroom, as well as in the two bedrooms. The wood-fired stoves in the kitchen and living room create a very nice and cozy atmosphere, but the house is therefore only partially suitable for families with young children during the heating season because of the risk of burns. Much of the electricity of the house is generated by a photovoltaic system. Please note that the house is located on our property and both we and our neighbors have children. This can cause noise from children playing during the day. If you find noise from children playing as disruptive, we ask you not to book the house. Infrastructure and excursions in the area: Various shopping facilities (various supermarkets, discount stores, bakery, gas station) and doctors are available in the neighboring village of Gieboldehausen (3.5 km by bike or on foot, 4.5 km by car) as well as in Rhumspringe (5 km). A playground and freely usable football field are a 5-minute walk away. The house is located directly on the nature reserve around the Rhume and you can take beautiful, long walks up to the forest in Wollershausen. We have been able to observe hedgehogs, rabbits, various birds of prey and Hermeline in our garden, for deer you have to walk 500 meters:). In Rhumspringe, there is also one of the largest and most beautiful karst springs in Europe to admire with the Rhumequelle, where there is also a lynter. The apartment is minutes by car from the Harz Mountains and the Harz National Park. There are various beautiful excursion destinations, here only a short selection: - Wurmberg (about 1 hour by car) - Bad Lauterberg (historic half-timbered town with beautiful wave pool and spa, about 20 minutes) - Brocken (highest mountain in the Harz, beautiful hikes to the summit, in winter actually challenging, about 1 hour) - Odertalsperre (open water, possibility for swimming, about 25 minutes) - Unicorn cave Scharzfeld, largest visitor cave in the West Harz (approx. 20 minutes) Other excursion options are, for example, the university city of Göttingen (about 25 minutes), the charming city of Duderstadt, with its historic city center, or Herzberg Castle. *English Translation* The ideal occupancy of the house is four people, as the bathroom is relatively small and the ground-floor bedroom is equipped with a 140 cm bed (perfect for two children, for example).
