From the first coffee or tea in the morning to the sunset and the starry night sky, this place was designed for a slow living and joyful way of life. We love to think that Casa Noah is a contemporary way of healing, a unique experience and a magical retreat. This place is perfectly suited for singles, couples or families with children. Nobody ends up at our place by "mistake", but driven somehow by destiny. In this village we host three old Transylvanian houses named Casa Noah - The Yellow House, the Green House and the Blue House, which were originally built over 100 years ago. Right now we are renovating the fourth one - The Pink House. It seems to be a fairytale land with beautiful roads and mysterious old Saxon houses. The smell of hay, a traditional old church, children laughing and playing in the streets, the sun rising from behind the hills, fruit trees and the sound of sheep- just a few things that build this nice puzzle named Richis. More than that, it's also about the people you will meet here. With different personalities and creative minds, people from all over the world gathered here and mixed with the locals, to create a unique and outstanding community, very well known in Transylvania - The Richis Community. As somebody once said : "because of the people I met here, my prejudice about Romania totally changed”. Casa Noah is located up in the village, very close to the hills. If you get out of the house and turn right you will lose yourself soon in this magnificent, unspoiled region of this wild part of Transylvania. This is the point where adventure starts. The surrounding scenery is stunning and there are plenty of nature trails and treks to be explored. But before exploring the nature, let's get back to the quietness and tranquility of the Saxon house. This place (The Yellow House) has strong protective high pine trees in its private courtyard. Imagine to sit under an apple tree and to have peach trees growing around you or beautiful colorful flowers blossoming with positive healing energies. The courtyard of the Yellow House is quite big and it has several outdoor dinner places or relaxing spots. The owners, Paul and Catrinel, have a nice beautiful life and stories they like to share with their guests at the bright camp fire that crackles in the evening. A lot of healing stories have been told under the sparkle of the numerous stars lying on the profoundly black night sky. In the morning you will awake in this romantic surrounding to the scents and sounds of nature, fresh hay and the clopping of horse shoes. If you are lucky, you can see the hill behind the house full of lovely deer and if you are the "chosen ones" the wise owls will show up in the evening. In Romania that means you will have some positive changes in your life. You get a special healing due to the natural, calm environment and you will go back to the roots of the civilization. We can promise fresh air, traditional healthy food, untouched nature, a good sleep, quietness, lots of smiles and if you are looking for them, some mysterious adventures and surprises. The rooms are decorated with traditional old restored pieces, but you will also see different spiritual or traditional objects that come from all over the world and from a lot of different cultures. We love traditional interior design with an eclectic sparkle. We believe that this will always remind us that we are lovely in our differences, but the humanity is ONE and as well as the objects, we can also fit in the same place together, even though we might come from different parts of the world. The quality of sleep in our rooms is really high (this is part of our guests' testimonials). Bed linen and towels are provided. Even though we highly recommend NOT to miss the beauty of the nature by being connected to the internet, we do understand the necessity for being online these days. Therefore, you have free internet access and wireless all over the house and in the garden. The kitchen is well equipped including oven and fridge, washing machine and dryer (for a small extra fee) and also all the pots and utensils you need for cooking your own meals to serve them indoors or outdoors, depending on your wish. Although, we highly recommend having dinners with local families. This is a great experience and will make you feel like you belong to this place. The Yellow House is usually shared by several guests, but, depending on the season, you might end up having this entire paradise to yourselves. There are 4 rooms - 3 double rooms, 1 big triple room with one queen size bed and a single bed and 1 small passing reading room that can also be transformed in a place for sleeping, especially for children and big families that can share the space. Each room has a separate entrance from outside or inside the house and there is privacy for each one of them. We also live here, but in a separate backyard building and so does our dog, Noah, but in the garden. But, while you stay here, our home is your home. Feel free to explore the yard (we are on 1000 mp). There are 4 bedrooms in the house and when you will book the room, Catrinel and Paul will let you know which room is available for your request. This house has old plumbing. PLEASE do not flush anything in the toilet (the toilet paper should be thrown into the garbage). If you are looking for a completely silent experience, we have another house (The Green House) that can be rented out as a whole or also divided in two parts - 5 double rooms available here, 2 kitchens, 4 toilets, 3 showers. Also, in 2017 we have just finished to renovate another old Saxon house - The Blue House, which is very closed to the fortified church right in the village center. It has - 2 double beds + 1 single bed available and 1 kitchen in between, plus bathroom and private garden. Come with no expectations and you will get plenty of surprises... Passionate about philosophy, literature, spirituality, art, healthy food or fashion, the owners of Casa Noah - Catrinel and Paul - usually attract a wide range of interesting people. Every night you sleep in Casa Noah you are also helping through your accommodation payment that we donate to our cultural association to save and restore old traditional objects and to maintain and save this heritage 100 years old Saxon houses. Guest access Guests have access to all the facilities of the house, such as backyard, garden, fireplace, barn, bohemian outdoor relaxing space. We are here to welcome you and show you everything around . After booking your stay, you will also receive before the arrival a PDF with more details regarding your stay. During your stay We live in Casa Noah - the Yellow House. During the Summer, we stay in a private anexa - the old stable, which we have transformed in our own space with bathroom. We are around and happy to be able to help the guests with trip planning and advice, etc. In the same time, we will try to offer you as much privacy as we can, a thing that we also care about and we hope we get it while we are in our private space, in the back of the garden. Other things to note We offer organised trips and amazing experiences around. We provide a PDF document, after you book your stay and we can plan together from there, depending on what you have interest in.
