Only 5 km to the southeast there is a Peruća lake which is ideal for bathing and fishing. Even the Austrian Emperor Franz Joseph I was impressed by the beauty of the countryside when he visited Vrlika in 1875 praising the quality of perfectly pure air and water and, since this region has escaped industrialization and commercialization, this has not changed much until present time. If you long for perfect peace and if you wish to thoroughly "recharge your batteries" far from the hubbub of the urban world, this place is ideal for you. You can enjoy long walks, ride a bike, go hiking or simply admire the wonderful intact nature all around you.
