Former Premonstratensian abbey listed as a historic monument, renovated in the 19th century by Count Ducos into a castle. We offer 5 guest rooms (= 5 listings) preserved in their 19th-century flavor. Boulencourt is a family room (1 double bed + 1 single bed). The space The former royal abbey of Septfontaines was founded in the 12th century, rebuilt in the 18th century and remained Premonstratensian until the Revolution. At the end of the 19th century, Count Ducos gave it the appearance of a castle. In one wing of the building we have furnished some guest rooms that retain their overrun character of the late 19th century, including beautiful old wallpaper, while giving this vast residence the simple and rustic character that suits us. The rooms, located on the ground floor and 1st floor, overlook the surrounding countryside, with a soothing view. They are spacious, with antique parquet floors and furniture, but remain simple. Our guests have at their exclusive disposal a room with 3 showers or a bathroom; separate toilet. Private bar in a room adjoining a beautiful vaulted barn. If you like charm and tranquility, as well as simplicity and friendliness, this place will enchant you. We are not looking for great luxury, frills, gilding... In the shared circulation areas, cloisters, dining room or living room, you can relax, enjoy the remarkable views of the place, consult the library, play chess, interact with us, etc. Rejuvenation guaranteed, ideal for lovers of the old, artists... Possibility of hosting up to 9 people (on request). Languages: French, English, Spanish, a little German. Easy parking. Guest access Inside, you will enjoy the vaulted cloister illuminated with light in the afternoon, the large dining room and a common lounge. Outside, in addition to the main courtyard and the romantic ruins of the church, you have access to the park surrounding the abbey, its small wood, its hidden corners, its rockeries...
