The space Welcome to Church Cottage, a beautifully renovated 17th century thatched cottage nestled in the heart of Longstock Test Valley. The cottage offers a rare blend of boutique luxury and relaxed country living. Positioned opposite Longstock’s historic church in the centre of the village and just a short stroll from the much-loved Peat Spade gastro pub, the setting is both picturesque and wonderfully convenient. The property has been entirely interior designed and styled to an exceptional standard. The cottage offers flexible accommodation for up to six guests across three beautifully appointed double bedrooms; 2 x Superking size beds and 1 x King. Of which 1 Superking may be split into 2 individual beds for convenience. Beyond its excellent fishing provisions, Stockbridge's wide Georgian high street is a charming and historic thoroughfare, renowned for its independent boutiques and restaurants, art galleries, welcoming cafes, locally sourced produce, and well-regarded gastro pubs. |The crystal clear streams of the River Test weave in and out of the high street, where trout glide beneath the surface and ducks paddle lazily along the banks, adding to the town's idyllic charm. Guest access Guests will have full and exclusive access to the entire cottage and gardens throughout their stay. This includes all living spaces, three double bedrooms, kitchen, bathrooms, landscaped garden, outdoor kitchenette, BBQ dining terrace, patio lounge area, lawn, trampoline, climbing frame and off-street parking. The property is offered as a complete private retreat for you to enjoy in comfort and privacy. Please note that a Ring doorbell camera is installed at the rear entrance of the property. This device records video and audio of the rear entryway only. There are no cameras or recording devices inside the property. Your privacy is respected at all times. The staircase has open treads, so guests with young children are asked to take extra care. Other things to note This is a peaceful village setting opposite a historic church, and we kindly ask guests to respect the tranquillity of the area and our neighbours at all times. The cottage is best suited to quiet, considerate guests and is not suitable for parties, events, or large gatherings. If you would like additional cleaning or a linen change during your stay, we’re happy to arrange this with advance notice, subject to availability. Please note this service is not included in the booking price and would incur an additional charge. As a thatched cottage, particular care must be taken to avoid any fire risk - No smoking, candles or open flames are permitted in the property or on its grounds. The BBQ can be used in the designated kitchenette area in the garden. The garden trampoline and climbing frame are used at guests’ own risk, and children must be supervised at all times. Fly fishermen are warmly welcomed.
