We built Nordic Zen for ourselves as a cozy beach house. Every detail in the interior is thought through, with quality materials and warm colors. You walk inside and the large windows open to the terrace and garden. A 5-minute walk to the beach along a private local path. 82 sqm, two bedrooms, up to 7 guests. Fenced garden in a safe neighborhood. The kitchen has everything you need as at home, you could live here for a month or more. Suitable for families with kids, couples, or groups of friends The space We believe a quiet evening by the sea gives more than a long trip far away. Nordic Zen is the place where my husband and I escape from long days at the desk. Here you are away from the rush, closer to the sea. We built Nordic Zen in 2025 as our family's beach house. My husband and I have two children, and we both come from the IT world, so we know well how important it is to breathe in nature. We drew interior inspiration from a trip to Bali - natural materials, warm tones, and a calm atmosphere, adapted to the climate and feel of the Latvian coast. Cooling floors keep the house at a comfortable, even temperature in summer without the noise of AC. Both bedrooms have blackout blinds. The master bedroom has a comfortable double bed. The second room has a bunk bed with a pull-out lower bed, suitable for up to three guests. It also has a separate workspace with a large screen, ideal for remote work. A fold-out sofa in the living room adds room for two more, making the house comfortable for up to 7 guests. The bathroom has a walk-in shower, heated floors, a large mirror with lighting, a towel warmer, and soft, fresh towels. Hairdryer, quality shampoo, and conditioner included. A fully equipped kitchen with everything you need for a longer stay. Illy coffee in the morning. Fast WiFi, TV with Netflix, washer and dryer. Board games and toys for kids for rainy days or quiet evenings. A vinyl record player with a collection that is still growing. Right now you will find Coldplay, Lana Del Rey and Bon Iver, along with Latvian records from Raimonds Pauls and Eolika. In the bedroom there is a small bookshelf with books across different genres for rainy evenings. Outside, a private and peaceful garden where you can hear the sound of the sea. A spacious terrace with a dining area, lounge chairs, and sunbeds - perfect for morning coffee, yoga, or long evening conversations. A playground in the garden for children. Grill available. Closed private parking on site. In the garden there is a fire pit with warm string lights and comfortable seating for adults and children alike. The hanging chairs are so comfortable that once you sit down, you will not want to get up all evening. We provide the firewood, all you need to bring is marshmallows. Guest access Guests have full access to the entire house and garden - 82 square meters indoors plus a spacious fenced garden with terrace. Closed private parking on site. Private path to the sea. Complete privacy throughout your stay. The neighborhood is quiet, with kind and welcoming neighbors. Other things to note During beach season (summer), we provide a sunshade, beach towels, and toys for kids. A welcome gift awaits you - a small drink and a local treat. Filtered water in the kitchen, and a local guide in Latvian and English. In winter, local cafés have shorter hours, so we recommend cooking at home - the kitchen has everything you need. Pets are welcome with a small additional fee. Family-friendly home: no stairs, furniture is anchored to the walls, fenced property with closed gates. Please note that outlets are not covered, and the shower has a glass wall, so younger children may need supervision. House rules: no smoking inside. Quiet hours from 10 PM. The house is not suitable for parties or large gatherings. Safety: smoke detectors inside and two outdoor security cameras - one at the entrance and one in the carport covering the driveway gate. The cameras cover only outdoor areas, not interior spaces. The private path to the sea is a local trail. We'll send simple directions before your arrival.
