North Lodge is a beautiful traditional lodge which has been fully renovated to create a cosy and comfortable one bedroom cottage. Set on the edge of mature woodland, alive with birdsong and with glimpses of Kilconquhar Loch, this is the perfect place to relax. Unwind in front the of the log burning stove and indulge yourself in the king size four poster bed, whilst enjoying proximity to the villages of Elie and Kilconquhar and all they and the East Neuk and St Andrews have to offer. The space Enter through a small vibrantly decorated vestibule for storing your coats and wellies, into a cosy living area, where modern and traditional interiors combine to make you feel relaxed and instantly at home. Echoing the nature outside, the bedroom is a haven of calm, a king size four poster bed to melt into with direct access into the large modern bathroom. With a bath tub and a walk in shower, this bathroom will meet all your needs. The fully equipped kitchen, with glimpses across the garden and through the woodland down to the edge of Kilconquhar Loch, is a view you won’t tire of. In here you’ll find all you need to create the perfect candlelit evening. THINGS TO DO Elie is in the East Neuk of Fife, a charming stretch of Scotland’s coastline, which offers a perfect mix of natural beauty, coastal charm, and cultural heritage. You can wander through its string of picturesque fishing villages—such as Anstruther, Pittenweem, and Crail—each filled with colourful harbours, narrow cobbled streets, and welcoming cafés. Enjoy fresh local food, especially fish and chips by the sea. Outdoor enthusiasts can walk parts of the stunning Fife Coastal Path, take a boat trip to the Isle of May to see puffins and seals, or play a round of golf at nearby world-class courses. With art galleries, farm shops, farmers’ markets, and festivals throughout the year, the East Neuk offers a true taste of coastal Scotland’s warmth and character. Walking Explore the woodland and countryside on your doorstep with the villages of Elie and Kilconquhar both a walkable distance. Walking around Elie and its surrounding area is a delight, offering some of the most scenic stretches of the Fife Coastal Path. You can stroll along Elie’s golden beach, explore the lighthouse and Lady’s Tower with sweeping views across the Firth of Forth, or follow coastal trails towards the quaint streets of the nearby fishing villages of St Monans, Pittenweem, Anstruther and Crail. For something a little more exhilarating don't miss the Elie Chain Walk. Pubs There are two fabulous pubs within walking distance of North Lodge: The Kinneuchar Inn, Kilconquhar A beautiful 17th Century inn specialising in locally sourced organic food, changing according to the season. A cosy bar area with a wood burning stove and excellent service. Winners of Scotland’s Best Local Restaurant and No.2 in the Top 100 Best Local Pubs in the UK and No.40 in the Top 50 Gastro Pubs in the UK. The Ship Inn, Elie Enjoy fresh local seafood and hearty Scottish meals at this beachside pub, in the heart of Elie. Dine overlooking the sea or enjoy a beach cricket match from the beer garden. Weekend and evening shuttle bus service will collect you and bring you home. Golf Golf in the East Neuk of Fife is a true pleasure for players of all levels, combining scenic coastal settings with historic charm. St Andrews, the ‘Home of Golf’, boasts 7 golf courses but the whole of the East Neuk of Fife is scattered with world-class golf courses. Elie Golf Club, one of Scotland’s oldest, and Dunbarnie Links, a modern links golf course opened in 2020, are both minutes away. All sourced from Fife's finest suppliers. Guest access Guests have complete access to the property via a key box. There is a front and rear garden area and off street parking, including an EV charger. Other things to note There is complementary WiFi throughout and a smart TV.
